the concept of being out of someone else’s league in friendship or love is so unnerving… the whole point of forging connection between another soul is to be forgiving of differences and curious about the Other, not to look for yourself in others… leagues aren’t real and everyone is worthy of someone else’s interest, even if no one is entitled to someone else’s interest. that’s how it really is without the false illusion of any concept of worthiness getting in the way

Little pink fairy tale house designed by UK designer Emma Ainscough.

The dining room features an original door.

Classic ‘Wishbone’ chairs surround an antique farmhouse table. The dried flower installation was designed by Emma and a local floral designer.

The kitchen was designed by Emma, and made locally with a solid oak top island. The wall units are painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Yonder’ and the island in ‘Eating Room Red.’

The kitchen opens into the sitting room.

Double doors open from the sitting room into the garden.

In this bedroom, Emma added a new wall with an arch detail to create a bed nook within wallpapered area, with dividing curtains that close and a cosy tented ceiling.

Emma had shelving built around the existing chimney to make use of dead space; the woodwork is painted in Farrow & Ball’s archive color ‘Bay Area Blue.’

Tongue and groove paneling gives the main bathroom a comfortable feel, painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Pointing’ with the brand’s ‘Closet Stripe’ wallpaper above.

On the other side of the bathroom is a shower tiled in ‘Pinstripes’ (blue porcelain).

In the main bedroom, walls painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Dimity’ provide a muted backdrop for an upholstered headboard.

Tongue and groove paneling painted in ‘Milk White’ covers the walls and ceilings in the adjoining bathroom. The tub looks gray, but it’s actually Farrow & Ball’s ‘Olive.’

This twin bedroom is papered in a ‘Creeping Toadflax’ pattern, with woodwork painted in ‘Pea Green.’

It’s so cute.
