No Words

I read once that The Egyptians had fifty words for sand The Eskimos had a hundred words for snow I wish I had a thousand words for love, But all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.

i want to apologize to all the women i have called beautiful before i’ve called them intelligent or brave i am sorry i made it sound as though something as simple as what you’re born with is all you have to be proud of when you have broken mountains with your wit from now on i will say things like you are resilient, or you are extraordinary not because i don’t think you’re beautiful but because i need you to know you’re more than that

Ross Bleckner, The Arrangement of Things, 1982-85, Museum of Fine Arts Boston

Something of a throwback to 1960s Op Art, this piece will really mess with one’s perception, especially in person but even on screen. Don’t focus to hard.

My favorite piece at the MFA. Pictures don't do it justice, but imagine trying to stare at this when it's 15 feet tall. Don't hurt your eyes. :)
