I know it's been a few months of silence (If I was permitted to bang my head against walls, there would be many dents in them right now) but I'm doing a completely spontaneous show in Ohio this weekend. I was completely unaware of WHAT I was signing up for (I thought it a MUCH smaller, sleepier show) but it was 2AM, sometime in November, right after Monster Mania.

That said, if any of you wondrous people are local to Cleveland, and thinking about attending, I will be in the Artist Alley at Booth A314. It's a much smaller booth than I'm used to, and I don't have all my display items (My banners didn't fit the space!), but I will be happy to see any friendly faces who might be there. I have done a show in Ohio some OhayoCon (2011 or 2012 I think...?) in over a decade. I'm both excited and extremely nervous about the whole thing~

That said, once I finish there, I'll be vending at Creature Feature Weekend in Gettysburg, PA (April 19-21). This is one of my cornerstone shows that I'm at every year and I always have something special out for it specifically.

I've mostly accepted that any updates to Pirates of Panem can only come once summer break arrives -- There is just too much happening all at once and I've had to step back and prioritize my tiny demons. At least until their education pauses for summer break.

I am behind, unfortunately! We've had non stop family situations from Thanksgiving until now, with rotating players, with everything involving surgeries, new diabetic equipment (T1D), training sessions, and unfortunately worse. I posted this several weeks back on my Patreon, and will be posting the high res color version soon for supporters. The new chapter is coming soon (but I'm afraid to jinx it. The next TWO are almost done in fact, due to a change in the winds...)

As always, mom life is neither simple nor straight, and the amount of pivoting derails and delays.

Hello new friends!

I've had a few people message me about the (now monthly) updates on the webtoon. It really comes down to an (incorrect) assumption on my part -- that I would be able to keep to timeframes this time around!

I try to keep it to within the first week of the month -- that being said, I'm hoping to have the newest chapter up on Friday, December 8, with Patreon members getting access to certain pages before that of course. Teasers for the next chapter are posted at least once a week there, along with all the other projects I'm working on.

I'm SO excited to see the new movie (I did not read the book, and won't have time before I go, which is a shame on me moment...) but hoping to go see it after PAX!Unplugged this weekend. If you'll be there, come visit me at the RED DUKE GAMES booth! I'll even have some of my PoP art there!

Learned some important things in this chapter --

One, I've had to move to digital linework. It just makes edits easier.

Two, I need to give myself more time if I want higher quality. I'm happy with the art of this chapter, but it falls under 'good and acceptable'. Balancing edits, life, and the fact that I work in Pharmacy during flu season means I had less time than I'd hoped, and I just accepted I wanted to get this chapter OUT. I didn't want to make people wait longer.

So bi-weekly updates moving forward, but Patreons will see weekly pages as I finish edits and pages.

This has already turned into a great learning process and excited to continue it! I also would LOVE to hear your thoughts on Peeta's brothers~ I know there is quite the debate about their names.

Pirates of Panem - Episode 3

Episode 3 will be posted for download on Patreon by end of day, and updated on Webtoons tomorrow. That will be the new standard - Patreons will get access to the downloadable Episode 1-2 days prior to public upload. (I'm hoping to get into a habit of Wednesday Patreon Uploads, and Friday Webtoon uploads.) 

I'm expecting to have hit the completely new content that has never been posted by October, which will include Finnick, Annie, and many characters that never made it to to the films (Madge has already made her appearance, though those pages are being redrawn~).

Webtoons is hard to navigate when it's not a featured comic, but it was the best platform I could find that permitted free reading (And didn't block readers behind paywalls or third party companies). So if you want to be kept up to date, be sure to subscribe to either my account, or the comic itself, there.

I earn no money from Webtoons (And most likely never will) So if you're loving Pirates of Panem and would like to support its progress, please check out my Patreon (Where you can see behind the scenes sketches, sneak peeks, and early downloads). Other than a few OC posts, it's been mostly PoP content as I revive the series and talk about learning to adjust to the webtoons format.

Webtoons focuses on a more mobile friendly read format, and I'm still navigating how it works. It's a better place than uploading it to Tumblr, in that I can set up as episodes, and it's easier to read consecutively. Be sure to follow there if you have an account~ 

Also, Patrons on my Patreon can download it directly, if you are not a fan of Webtoons, as well as get sneak peeks at upcoming chapters and sketches that have not been published before.

I have been quiet here. Too quiet.

Over the past few years, I've battled some unexpected medical turns with family, with kids, with myself. My life became so chaotic I had to set aside projects I loved, but my brain never closed those doors entirely...

That said, I've decided to restart my comic work -- Most noticeably, Pirates of Panem, which was exclusive to Tumblr, will be continuing again.

Life Update time! The reality is I’m fighting some pretty severe burnout. In the past few weeks the house has been adjusting to a therapy change (which if you have kids on the spectrum, you know is ALOT. EVERYWHERE. ALL AT ONCE), my van died, I had a filling break, Mythicon, and stress loads I’m just not used to balancing. Commissions are still moving, albeit slower than usual, and I am trying my best to maintain quick response times. If you haven’t heard anything, you’re not forgotten. (Seriously. I have chibi spreadsheets now after the chaos of 2022!) I am just battling for the creative space around everything else the past six months has unloaded.
