hi, im bet. ten years ago i wouldve written this in a homestuck introduction style, which i am mentioning in order to weed out the weak. i am some sort of creature. i like bees, and books, and my cat Bug, and bhorror games. My favorite tv show is Leverage, which ended back in 2012.

i draw tshirts for a paycheck and comics for a living. i used to put funny tshirts on my comic characters before the whole ‘job’ thing, but now i overthink the tshirt production process. my current comic is Sometimes the Bad Guy, which is mostly about two dudes who are friends :) and raising two kids together :) as friends :)

and also they fight crime commit crime try to avoid some high-grade superhero bullshit

anyway please read it my next comic also takes place in the same universe so im kind of dedicated to the story at this point

unfortunately i do think it kind of enjoy it when someone is so focused on not being a bad person in a very specific way that they forget to actually be any better than the kind of person they're trying not to be. yeah it turns out suffering doesn't make you a saint. fucked up i know.

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.

Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.

and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

Oh boy I made it to the episode in Magnus archives where we meet Jurgen Lightner, a character I have very normal feelings about. Gonna really enjoy spending time getting to know him!

art is about spending an embarrassing amount of time trying to get something to look right giving up and then moving on to do it slightly better next time. at some point if you're an exhibitionist you then post it for internet strangers to look at.

unfortunately no matter where you are at in your craft the version in your head is what you're capable of after 2~5 years of steady practice. This maintains steady no matter how much you improve. not being driven mad by this too much is the second Barrier of art.

nothing in the world makes me more evil than just being kind of annoyed

me when i'm in genuine agonising distress: i'm so sorry if i'm bothering you with my childish histrionics :/

me when i'm just in a bit of a bad mood: i hope hydrogen bombs fall on every living thing in the universe

i'm such a big fan of laios using being well fed as proof that he's serious. like there's so many techbros & etc who will use not eating breakfast as proof that they're productive & just in general, the idea of being "too busy to eat" is getting more common (which is exactly what toshiro is doing here!) but laios is like. no. i'm so serious about this i'm thinking about what comes next. i'm so serious about this i'm making sure my body can do everything it can when i need it.

the fact that everyone in the party took care of themselves & carefully planned out their route & when they'd take breaks is what made them so successful. they always made sure to understand their limits
