I finally felt brave enough to start The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue knowing full well it's going to break my heart. I'm about halfway through now and I think I have highlighting on almost every single page.

I’ll go with my audiobook: It’s early 1800s Scotland (after the end of the Napoleonic wars), with most time spent in a castle with a laboratory and lobsters.

You can’t just release a good book with 3 covers and NOT expect me to buy them all…
(Also I think it says a lot about me that one of the first things I did upon getting home was to nearly start a fire trying to light a candle to take an aesthetic photo….)

My escape is between the pages of books. The words both familiar and strange are spellbinding, drawing me into their own world. Within moments I am transported through time and space, to new worlds. I can be anything I want to be, a wizard, a fighter, a being from another world.
But words, no matter how they are arranged remind me of one thing. I am not alone, because in between the pages of books, I create friends.
