SO GLAD TVTROPES EXPLAINED THIS;

Bilingual Bonus: Played with - when Narumi apologizes and reassures Hirotaka she does return his affections when he thinks he shouldn’t have asked her out, he exclaims “Donghae..!”, Korean for “east sea”, representing the Sea of Japan seperating Japan and Korea. However, it’s meant to be a slang expression used when a potential pairing finally gets a Relationship Upgrade.
