Man. Now that I think about it

It’s a bit strange (albeit completely natural) how much we love actors, know their names, love their performances- they’re celebrities. And yet the same is rarely the case for animators who MASTERFULLY build a character around that performance. Along with actors, their contributions are ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL.

For most people who like King Candy- it’s common sense to know he’s voiced by Alan Tudyk. He’s in a ton of things, and he’s a GREAT actor.

But that’s only half of the performance!

Can you name King Candy’s animator off the top of your head? Because I sure couldn’t.

Zach Parrish is credited as King Candy’s animator- he was supervising animator for Wreck-It Ralph and also head of animation for Big Hero 6

Animators carry so much weight with their beautiful work, it’s astonishing. It’s what we SEE when we WATCH THE MOVIE.

And this is only ONE guy out of a hard-working team of visual artists. WE NEED TO APPRECIATE THESE PEOPLE MORE!!!!!! ❤️❤️
