“I’m sorry, I’ll never do it again, just please don’t leave me.” He knew his drinking had been getting out of hand with the stress but.. to actually raise a hand to Sinbad.. he.. he never meant for it to go that far.
The man frowned deeply as he gazed at the solemn man. His own hand went to his shoulder–the one that had just slammed into the wall as he rubbed it idly. “It’s okay.. I forgive you.” It had been a silly argument–over his recent disappearance. Honestly, he didn’t feel like he deserved Kouen’s affection. The red-head disagreed.
“But, maybe I should leave… I’ve done nothing but cause you trouble, Kouen.”

This was a drawing I did over a year ago for sinbad-no-ousama Back when my Ja’far blog had like 350 followers. I never finished the rest of the art (besides for another one that’s like half finished) I owed them because, well my computer hates me and I lost it all. Still managed to keep this one. “Kouen..” This wasn’t exactly a face he was expecting to see again after he sorta left out of the blue. This was going to be awkward. “It.. certainly has been awhile.”
Beautiful it was, but a it was a consolation prize at best. Picking the ring up from it box Kouen slid it over his finger. Silver metal set with a red gem that gleamed. It had been well cared for over the decades.
Eh? Who are you? You’re not my king.
“Are you.. certain you want to part with something from your ancestor?”
“Well--It’s not like I’m giving it away for good. I’m letting you borrow it.” He chuckled lightly. No, his mom would definitely kill him if she found out he had up and given away an ancient artifact like that. But, he knew Kouen could make good use of it. Better than he possibly could.
“Think of it as a symbol of my trust. And one day, maybe it’ll help somebody because of you. I think my ancestor would be happy if that happened.”
