Just pre-ordered Molgen’s ichifumi book! The tables turn on Ichie and suddenly she starts getting flustered around Fumi. I don’t think I’ll translate it since my Japanese is rusty but maybe I’ll do a summary and provide a few visuals for like the 5 other people who care about this ship.

What are your thoughts on Yachiyo and Ichie being friends?
NNNGHH I feel like a lot of people focus on angsty yachifumi drama but yachie friendship would be so fucking funny and an unstoppable duo imo. I like calling them the disaster duo or the terrible twosome because they would totally just mess with people together (Fumi and Mei Fan especially). Yachiyo is the brains of the operation whereas Ichie’s the absolute mad man who’ll just do anything out there for kicks (WELCOME TO JACKASS). Also if they had twitter accounts, they’d totally talk in twitter stan language and no one would have any idea what the absolute fuck they’re talking about. I think they’d be pretty good friends since Ichie’s really friendly and since she used to be an idol, she can talk to Yachiyo about fashion and costumes. Yachiyo’s mostly go with the flow and likes humoring people so she’d kinda be like Yuyuko around Ichie and give some backhanded comments. But I think Ichie would be too stupid to pick up on any of them if they came out of Yachiyo’s mouth.
But they’d be so cute trying to plan some sort of “prank” to happily surprise someone (coughs Fumi) since Ichie would really be excited about it and Yachiyo’s a little more thoughtful about the execution. Anyway they’re cute and I desire a Rinmeikan and Siegfeld collab event for a lot of reasons.

At first I envisioned it to be somewhat humorous, kinda like Mahiru vs Karen’s revue but gets serious later in. I imagine Ichie’s really light on her feet and her fighting style is a lot like dancing. Her fan is mostly a blunt weapon so I imagine she’s good at dodging and landing heavy blows when it matters. I feel like Fumi’s more on the aggressive when fighting but she’s precise. Both their weapons require real close range combat so there’s probably a lot of chasing involved.
But also I feel like Fumi would be annoyed with how dodgy Ichie is during the revue and get mad as if Ichie isn’t even being serious about it. I also punched myself in the face thinking about some quotes they’d say during their revue too.
Fumi: You gave me a second chanceIchie: I want you to shine the brightest
And the revue ends with Ichie as the winner since her desire for Fumi to be the best she can be currently outweighs Fumi’s own desire (Also makes for a rematch where Fumi kicks Ichie’s ass this time).
