the idea that abc may have just accidentally spoiled the 911 season arc by putting ryan in what is a clearly all-queer-characters-of-911 line-up of actors for a celebrity family feud episode is so fucking funny that i want it to be true so badly it hurts

If that’s how things plays out, this may actually beat “the fandom figuring out the coma Buck plot from a bts pic of a hospital floor” as the funniest time an innocuous bit of promo accidentally spoiled a major storyline.

if buddie happens please do not complain about how the way they get together isn't exactly what you wanted. unless there is something seriously wrong or problematic, just leave it be, at least they get together.

if buddie doesn't happen don't go and harass the actors and crew members of the show. 9-1-1 just got renewed for s8 so i wouldn't be surprised if they drug it out another season. and, as much as i want it canon, we have fanfiction.

I guess I’m in the minority that I do think buck was being sincere about trying to get tommy’s attention. For one he went out of his way to see him before he knew he and eddie had bonded, and I think he was so excited when he thought eddie was inviting him along to karaoke because he thought “great this is my chance to hang out with my crush again!”

Like eddie and tommy are friends, so he thinks great maybe he has an in, but then eddie’s so distracted by how great tommy is he doesn’t even get the chance to ask, and then even when they are all together he still can’t get either of their attentions and his double ended jealousy just boils over.

Because it’s not like he can just ask right? Tommy is a guy, he can’t just ask eddie to set them up/put in a good word. So he starts trying to orchestrate situations where he can get closer to this guy without having to come clean about why he wants to.

tell you what though it’s really really enjoyable when you feel your brain slipping towards increasingly detached fanonbrain interpretations of a character (because as much as i bitch about it i think we’re all susceptible to forgetting from time to time that the version of our blorbo who lives in our heads is filtered through layers of personal analysis and projection and sanding over certain fragments of personality for the sake of a gag or a good old fashioned whump rp) and you go back to the source material and you’re like ah!! THAT’S what my precious little guy is actually like!! it’s such a ludicrously satisfying and reinvigorating feeling. it’s like getting new glasses. replacing the broken screen protector on your phone. waking up after a cold and your nose is unblocked for the first time in a week. when you’ve done laundry and you put on your a list outfit for the first time in a hot minute. refamiliarising yourself with source material is a PLEASURE it’s like doing a factory reset on your blorbo thoughts and if you commit yourself to permanent and remorseless fanon brain you are missing out on a supreme brain-itching joy

oliver saying that “it all feels the same” when he closed his eyes and kissed a man like. this man is truly doing wonders for my mental health fr he has no idea the things that he says are having such an impact on the queer community that have been following buck’s journey for years i’m literally crying thank you king it does all feel the same 🥲🥹

↳I don't think any of the feelings that he has throughout the entire episode are consciously being processed in his head. He just knows he's feeling something, and it feels strong. So in that last scene, I don't think he's thinking "Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me," or anything like that...it feels like this release. The pressure valve has been lifted, and it's like, "This is something that I've been looking for." (x)

people who write fic: do you ever sit and write a Whole thing and then just. reread it and go oh my god that’s flaming garbage. and not even in an i-feel-bad-about-it way just in a wow-im-having-an-incredibly-off-day-i-guess-because-yikes-this-is-not-good way. but what i wanted to ask is what do you do about it. like do you just abandon the whole thing forever let her rot in your drafts or do you scrap her for parts and use bits in other fic or do you keep coming back to it to try and fix it or

do you ever think about how sometimes it just... takes one random message? and suddenly you find yourself with a best friend or in constant conversation with someone who lives on the other side of the world but is just as much of a freak as you are or maybe you find yourself in love with someone without a last name but with so much kindness and affection in their words and presence. crazy how life and love and friendship just happen
