"Just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath"

I have watched the sneak peek an unhealthy amount of times by now in anticipation for the finale to drop, and this bit in particular was so poignant I couldn't resist redrawing it-

nervously chewing nails from the edge of my seat waiting to see how this gets concluded

can't wait for Al to try to manipulate Charlie for his own benefit but then it eventually backfires and she becomes his soft spot instead lol (hoping this is what will happen)

This is my hope anon, my hope for the future!

Charlie: If you took a shot for every time you made a bad decision, how drunk would you be?

Vaggie: I don’t know… tipsy?

Sir Pentious: Drunk.

Niffty: Wasted!

Husk+Angel: Double dead.

Alastor: My dear, I don’t make bad decisions. I make great decisions that turn out bad for other people.

Hopefully season 2 is longer than 8 episodes or at least they're longer than 22 minutes because that is definitely not enough time for this show, and I know animation is very costly but fucking AMAZON should foot the goddamn bill it's not like it's low on cash.

Okay I mean this so seriously…

Do people actually ship Chaggie? Outside of the ship just being… gay?

Like, I have been a fan of Vivzie for a long time (I’m talking Zoophobia long). And… Chaggie has just NEVER felt like it’s had any chemistry to me? It feels very much like, “I want my main character to be gay. Here is her girlfriend. I’m not going to focus any energy on developing their relationship. They’re the main couple and they’re gay”.

I don’t know. My thing is just, name one thing about their dynamic other than it’s Grumpy x Sunshine. What is one moment that genuinely develops chemistry between Vaggie and Charlie? Seriously.

And now we have Emily, and that just feels like a huge missed opportunity.

Hell, I don’t even blame the Charlastor shippers (rip “Dad Beat Dad”).

I’m seriously not trying to be malicious. But as a queer woman, who is constantly looking for queer representation, could someone like… explain it to me?

Honestly, this make me so sad. I would have preferred this story so much. THIS feels like a love letter to Disney's past. I'm sure others will have their opinions on it. But this pretty much sums up mine.

(I kinda hope they'll do a remake someday with this instead. That's probably wishful thinking. But hey! I can dream. Lol.)

EDIT: People seem to think I mean a live action remake. I don't. I mean I would want it completely done over. That's a bit out there, but like I said, I can dream. It's just my fantasy.

Early visual development for Wish (2023) by Griselda Sastrawinata-Lemay and Brittney Lee.

An earlier version of the film saw Star take on a human form as a magical, glowing character inspired by Peter Pan. Ultimately, the creative team reconceptualized Star as an ethereal, playful entity resembling Mickey Mouse. "Now Star and Asha have an emotional journey. They are soulmates." -Allison Moore.

Boxing Helena (1993) dir. Jennifer Lynch

We need to talk about this movie! It's a romantic body horror/erotic thriller directed by Jennifer Lynch (daughter of David Lynch) and starring Sherilyn Fenn, Julian Sands, and Bill Paxton. It was completely panned at the time of its release but I think it deserves a second look.
