His room — a mess as it was, he deliberately disobeyed those who told him to clean it up. It was dirty, this was ‘grunge’, the way he liked it. Sure there was some left over soda cans on the table and some beads and whatever scattered on the floor. Crumpled up papers near the trashcan and a backpack just thrown to the left near the end of his bed; most likely never touched.

     “ Remote. “

Momiji sniffed lightly and chose to get up from his spot to help the other look for the missing device. Haru seemed to losing a lot of things often, including himself. The rabbit moved and looked under the bed, being careful of where he stuck his head.

“Do you remember where you saw                                it last? Maybe it was--! Found it!”

He reached for the remote, soon pulling it out and sitting back up on the bed. He didn’t have a clue on how it could have ended up underneath the bed, but at least it was found. With a sniff, Miji held it      out to the other.

Showing off the sketch, there wasn’t anything special displayed on the paper — naturally little doodles but this time it was a sketch of a tiger that someone random wanted to get done on their upper shoulder; he was sketching out idea’s of different types of lines he could do in the shape of the animal. The tiger though was making him miss Kisa — in who he calls every once in a while but she was mainly busy with beginning high school. Hard to believe.
image
“ You’d really want me to put it on you?”
Amazing how he’d want to be around needles at all, and the thought of the other actually wanting to be tattooed by him caused a smile on his face.

He’d tilted his head lightly as he looked at the tiger sketch. It made him think of Kisa. He’d lean on the desk a bit, arms folded and     against the surface.

Image

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I want you to?                     I trust you to make it look good and not                                 to intentionally hurt me.”

He’d then reach over for a small plate of veggies that were nearby. He reached for one of the celery sticks and picked it up, crunching away on it. He hadn’t had much of a lunch, so he had some vegetables. No one really minded either, seeing as they knew him as well as they     knew Haru.

—- “ Mmm, There isn’t anything to             do today and I might loose my              mind if the manager keeps              closing shop. “
Three days ago things were being ugraded in th place, new look for in the shop — giving it more of a edgy look to it. As they finally had the expenses to do stuff like that; he had no say in it otherwise. As a simple artist and worker, that’s all he was. Currently, he was sketching out commissions for art work and tattoo’s but the constant bug of wanting to do something made him lose concentration.
image

                                       “Um? You sure?”

The rabbit leaned over, looking at what the other was working on. He didn’t actually have work today. He had a free day for once, so he was spending it with the ox. Haru always seemed      to be in a better mood when Momiji was around anyway.

“If you want something to do ... why don’t                      you draw me a tattoo. And then you can                      put it on me, where ever you’d like. And I                      don’t think he’ll close while I’m here. You                      guys tend to get more customers while I                                     hang out over here.”

He’d actually been thinking about getting one, he just wasn’t too      sure what to get and where to get it.

Runaway Rabbit

Haru }:

They had to be extremely careful — oddly enough with the curse still clung to them, their family, nothing really changed. The fate of their family remained well plastered unto them like it will always be. Broken curses were nothing but a fairy tail. There was no magic kiss to break this, nothing to say or do, no faeries to wish this to be different. Although, he was trying to make it through life the best he could. Suppose it was the fact that both the Sohma’s took the opportunity not to long ago to run away from the the Main Estate. Despite being tied down by the curse, they felt it would be better to be independent and by themselves to confine the fact that there needed to be some what of leeway on who they could be by themselves.
Haru found it that it was difficult to maintain some other kind of job regarding anything to his interests, which was limited as it was — so he stuck with this due to the fact that he was artistic in more ways than he assumed he was at first. Sketches were done constantly, he didn’t really find anything more relatable on what to do in the city than join in some tattoo parlor that was hiring for assistant till he somehow worked his way up on being an actual artist and constant request to the clients that walked in here. Getting good amount of money to now survive by own hands. The other Sohma kept company within the apartment they bought in the middle of the busy streets. Looking over the skyline of Tokyo somewhat near the tower. Walking was their main source of transpiration and both ate well and took care of themselves. Not so much, however, when trying to avoid human contact —- it was difficult especially when one of them required more human connection than the other.
A hand reached out to hand fingers scratch behind long ears, a small smile on his face as he walked a bit into the walking closet. He grabbed a pair of extra clothes in here in case of any accidents. He used the excuse of blood getting on his shirts but mainly it was for something like this. He’d set the bag on the table next to Momiji and look over his shoulder to the back, no one was around — everyone was preoccupied with the work they had to get done and the main security cameras were only located in the main front lounge in front of the desk and the back hallway where the back door was. Otherwise, they trusted their workers and those involved in employment here this giving the rabbit more privacy in case he did change back at any given time.
“ You’re okay, —- I was going to go on break         soon, closing up my station till later. I’m sorry         I didn’t see you at the door. I’m also glad you’re         okay. Clothes are here, If anyone asks I’ll just         say you’re with me. “

He leaned lightly into the hand that scratched his ear. Haru always had a way to help him feel better. When the other spoke, he nodded lightly. He hated having to put the other out like this. Haru had work,      and Momiji was stuck as a furry yellow rodent.

When the other pulled his hand back, the little yellow rabbit reached his hands out, small claws grabbing onto the fabric of the ox’s sleeve.

“I ... I really am sorry to be                                       here, to have this happen.”

Miji knew he was interrupting the other at work, despite the other saying he was going to go on break anyway. He’d nuzzle his snout lightly into the back of the other’s hand before letting go and letting the other get back to things. The small animal then moved away a bit, hiding in bag for now. Who knew when he’d change back. It was always kind of a random thing. They could be stuck as their animal for mere minutes, or up to a few hours. There was always a bit of fear behind it. They never knew when they’d change back. And changing back was as bad as changing into the animal in the first place, as they changed back completely naked. It was absolutely terrifying. Some of them took it easier than others, but Momiji himself was terrified over it. He didn’t want anyone to see him naked. If he didn’t change fast enough, someone who see. There was also the chance of someone seeing him change back, and that      was just as bad.

He let out a sigh and just kind of sat in hiding in the bag. If he didn’t change back, at least Haru would be able to get him out of here easier      if he stayed in this bag.

Setting the bag of birdseed down on the porch and propping it up on the wall of the house, the woman paused briefly before she answered. “Clearly—but why.” The god frowned at him, at his insolent tone and impertinent words—of course she’d been expecting it, but that didn’t make it any less rude.

Hiding is worse,” she argued, scowling slightly at the rabbit who was, for all his insignificance, quick to frustrate her. “If I had been anyone else, would you have come out at all?” The question was genuine, meaning Akito was genuinely curious about its answer—but it came out as condescending as the rest of her speech, undermining the sincerity in it.
Although not at her limit yet, naturally, the head of the family’s mood was dropping fast.

                                        “Because it’s the roof.”

That was his reason for being there. He didn’t explain why he was there, why he felt the need to be on this roof in particular, not anything. He stayed where he was. He didn’t feel the need to get down from his spot, even if he had blood rushing to his head at this point. When she asked him the question, he thought about it for a moment or two before finally responding.

                                            “Probably not.”

There was a light shrug of his shoulders. Saying that he might not have come out for anyone else could be taken a few ways, and he honestly didn’t really care which way it was taken.

Before Thomas did anything, he stopped and listened to what Momiji was playing. He personally hadn’t heard it before, but it sounded nice. The notes seemed to hop with a playful beat, almost like a bunny. He decided that since he didn’t know the words, that he would harmonize instead. It took him a moment to establish how he would do so.
The notes eased out of his vocoder as he began. Nothing too intricate at the start, he wanted to gain his bearings without ruining the performance. He sounded much like a viola, soft, with a deeper sound, accenting the flurry of notes and harmonizing. It was a bit awkward for him. He couldn’t recall the last time he had mimicked an instrument. Most of the time he played his guitar and let the notes fllow through him. However, this was going well so far. He was willing to add to it a little more once he felt he fully understood the direction Momiji would be taking this.

The rabbit gazed over at the other as he began making small sounds. He wasn’t too sure what the other was soing, but he supposed he was just getting used to the song the blond decided to play. He sniffed lightly and looked towards the small crowd that was forming around them. There were people bobbing their heads to the music, some that were bouncing a bit to it, and then those that were just watching curiously. The first sign of a phone or camera made Momiji concentrate more. Filming him and his robot friend meant the music was enjoyed,      and that was a good sign.

He moved into a slightly better position for his back, and closed his eyes, letting the music come to him. The bow skittered across the strings lightly, making a light, but sprightly sound. He was actually quite enjoying himself with his musical partner adding in,      making the music more lively.

Happiness was found through outlets on doing things that made them not think of their actual lives. The reality behind being a Sohma, what they had to grow up with, go through and think about going through as their lives went on — it caused so many issued to their health rather it be physically or mentally. Emotionally as well, though he rarely showed his own, the fact that everyone knew of his anger issues just proved that he had grown up casually indifferent due to the fact that he was a Sohma. So, of course he and the other’s tried hard to figure out ways to make themselves comfortable, momentarily happy in any aspect of the word.

        —-” Yes, — That’d be fine.”

The rabbit nodded in response before lightly pushing the ox forward then following him towards the other’s place. Once at Haru’s the rabbit broke off the dirty parts of the lollipop and rinsed off the rest of it. The candy was thin placed into a Ziploc bag and placed within his shoulder bag that he carried everywhere.

Momiji soon made himself comfortable on the other’s bed as      Haru seemed to be looking for something.

Then again, he couldn’t really blame this guy. He wasn’t the nicest person to strangers either. Not always, at least. “I guess I’ll check it out later.” He said, fidgeting with the ends of his sleeves as he thought. Maybe he could get a gift for someone - Demyx loved music after all. And Sora probably wouldn’t mind hearing something from another world.
image

After a bit of thought, he sighed out lightly.

“I could show you where it if, if you’d                               like. I need to go there to get new                                        violin strings anyway.”

If the other didn’t want him to, fine. He was merely offering as he was about to go himself and things were a bit awkward now. Not that he really cared all that much. So what if things were awkward between him and one stranger. It wasn’t like they’d really see      each other again, right?

Akito nearly jumped a few feet when she saw him, but quickly forced her body to remain where it was. “What are you doing?” she growled angrily without returning the greeting, still annoyed at the intrusion…but her anger instantly dissipated after she spoke, flatlining due to the relief she now felt knowing it had only been Momiji.
image
Yet, the god couldn’t help but continue to berate him—it was wholly deserved, she thought, as the rabbit was certainly not permitted to be up on the roof at this early hour or, for that matter, any other time. “Being a nuisance as usual, I take it.” Her eyes stared at his blank face for a moment, as she decided in the next one that, because of its apparent emptiness, it was unappealing.

"I’m sitting on the roof, what does                                  it look like I’m doing?”

He sniffed a bit not saying anything more until she spoke again.

“See, I wasn’t a nuisance until you                          told me to come out. So that’s your                                            own fault.”

Image

He then gave her a rather cheeky smile in response. He was definitely pushing things. She didn’t like him, he didn’t like her, and now he was kind of messing with her. She had started it, however. She was the one who insinuated he was being a nuisance when he clearly hadn’t      been. He had merely just been sitting on the roof.

[ ✿ ] She had to think again, trying to remember exactly what the surroundings were. “They were carts, I’m pretty sure.” But not 100%. It’s perhaps maybe because of the little shops that they got separated. It was difficult to keep a teenager’s attention on any one thing at a time right?
image
“I was looking at a flower cart when I saw them walk away- I tried to follow them but lost sight of them and that’s how I ended up here, I think.”

"Alright. We can go check out the market                         and see if they’re there still. If they’re not,                                  we can start looking around.”

Image

He didn’t think it would be too hard to find her friends unless they had gotten themselves into some sort of trouble. With that, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and began walking down the street. He hoped she’d follow, but if she wanted to find her friends, she kind of had to follow him. She didn’t know the town, he did. There was a bigger chance of her finding      them if she used his help.

hn,❜ Beggers couldn’t be choosers, she supposed;                             anything to get away from that infernal noise;                             at least the blond wouldn’t be as sufferable as                             that. Can’t handle the shit they’re talking about                             in there.
Image

“Why do you think I’m out here?”

He didn’t want to be in there as much as she didn’t. Too many people inside, talking, laughing, having a good time. Then there were those asked too many questions, and the rabbit wasn’t going to be part of that. Asking questions weren’t exactly good things in his opinion, so avoiding them was best. Last he was in there, people were asking about things that he wanted no part      of. He reached up to rub his neck a bit.
