people are calling what happened today in gaza “the flour massacre”

the flour massacre

these people just wanted to get food for their families, something as basic as flour, one of the things that the very core of humanity is built on, and israel used it as a trap to murder them in cold blood

evil is not enough of a word. there is not a word to describe what they are doing to palestine. they are bleeding her out, they are torturing her and crushing her and hoping that nothing is left to remember her by when they are done. how can anyone stand and watch what is being done with indifference? how can you watch this level of human suffering, this crime against life and feel nothing, do nothing

at this point we have seen the iof post videos of themselves doing a thumbs up while dropping airstrikes, collecting canes of physically disabled palestinians they slaughtered and posing with them before posting them online, collecting underwear of palestinian women they've murdered, posting videos of palestinian girls they're sexually assaulting and forcing to live in cages, posing with dolls of palestinian children they've murdered, and today's newest addition is posting a video of starved palestinians running towards food--and then shooting them before they could get to it.

if hamas had done any of that, we would not hear the end of it for months. but because it's the iof doing it, it flies under the radar of mainstream media.

March 2—Shut it Down for Palestine

This Saturday, March 2, find a protest near you using this link here (on the shutitdown4palestine site) or using this webpage that continuously updates for the newest protests in your area on the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights site (as of today, there are over 60 protests all across the U.S. registered for March 2!) I will continue to look for worldwide organized protest info, but here is another Millions March List (includes places from the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Japan)

Want to get involved in other ways, connect with groups in your local community? Find a local group here also on the USCPR site!

Reminder again that this is an explicitly trans-friendly blog, and if you are anti-trans you do not have a place here and this is your sign to leave. There is nothing for you here.

Also trans family, stay strong and please report trans violence on tumblr!

The idea that Johnny Depp doesn’t have a violent past and Amber Heard does is laughable considering the fact that Depp was assaulting people and getting arrested for it when Amber was a literal toddler.

also just really quick as someone with an education in law, d*pp settling with her looks bad on HIS part. he won the case. appeals of jury decisions are historically unsuccessful. judges do not like overturning or questioning juries. so to act like this is an admission of any kind on heard’s side is not only laughable but completely ignorant. he (the winner) settled out of court on a defamation case WITH NO NDA!!! do you know how much he had to concede on that?? he was begging her to not take it to trial because he saw her lawyers submissions and KNEW HE WAS FUCKED and she had been financially backed into a corner and had no choice. and finally, FINALLY got to just say leave me alone to her abuser. like honeys he’s literally telling you who he is. LISTEN.

I cannot overstate how much harm this case and the jury's decision will cause. This case has now set a dangerous precedent that will not easily be undone and it will prevent survivors from coming forward to share their stories and pursue justice. If you live in the US and you want to help you can contribute to dv shelters' wishlists and to legal aid agencies.

So Amber lost and I just want to say to all women out there that have been abused I believe you. I believe Amber and I believe you. Sometimes good things happen to bad people and that's what has happened today. I'm sorry for the outcome but try not to let it get you down, try not to beat yourselves up. Try and do something loving for yourselves today. We still have each other.

fyi: d*pp just gave legal precedent to silence anyone who speaks about abuse even if you don’t mention abusers by name. fuck everyone who supports that monster. fuck anyone who silences survivors or supports the silencing of survivors.
