As of now, there isn't a Gofundme. Let's ask the following organisations to evacuate this child to safety:

Please message them on social media and their websites.

Holy shit. The Israeli whistleblower story CNN just broke is insane. I cannot believe what I’m reading

Rare firsthand accounts by Israeli whistleblowers cast light on the horrific conditions in the Sde Teiman torture camp in Naqab Desert. Palestinians are stripped down, blindfolded, forced in diapers, and forbidden from speaking. They are subjected to beatings and mental degradation regularly. So much depravity that has gone unseen. Doctors performing procedures outside of their expertise, amputations due to zip-typing of abductees’ wrists, having large dogs unleashed on them at night. Being fed food through straws. I can’t believe it. I am truly in shock. And this is just one whistleblower accounting of this. Who knows what else is happening beyond our knowledge

My heart is breaking into a million pieces

Worth mentioning that multiple Palestinians have recounted these stories before, as direct victims detailing their experiences. What's unique about these accounts from CNN Israeli whistle-blower is that they're from an Israeli, therefore people are more likely to take this seriously.

“All you had to do was ignore the fuckin’ encampment for a month. Maybe make a bland statement. Have campus security issue a citation or two. Declare that a committee is going to look into things. Saul Alinsky writes that “the action is in the reaction.” The campus encampments don’t work if you don’t react to them. And not reacting to student speech on campus is usually one of the things that university administrators do best. Instead, here we are. Snipers on the roofs of major universities. Encampments springing up everywhere. Actual cops arresting students and faculty. Enough of a spotlight that every university administration is worried that shit might go sideways. Republican politicians gleefully egging it on, crowing about “chaos on campus.” (Because the more this moment resembles 1968 on tv, the better.) The conflict has expanded. Colleges are passing draconian measures to clamp down on campus protest. Students are responding to those actions, and responding to the police violence. The action is in the OVER-reaction. The semester will end soon, but it now seems more likely that it will form an ellipses instead of an ending. I’m worried for my students. They are smart and they are brave and they are outraged. They are facing batons and tear gas. This escalation did not have to happen. This escalation will not end well. I blame Republican legislators. But I also expected them to behave this way. Tom Cotton is exactly how we thought he was. Elise Stefanik’s outrage is scripted, typecast. They have not been subtle about their views or intentions. I did expect more from University administrators — Shafik especially. All she had to do was act like an average university administrator. Make noncommittal promises, and wait. Now this is spiraling. And I sit here in this coffeehouse, tapping away at the keyboard. Hoping my students are safe. Hoping I taught them well enough. Wishing that the people who run universities would learn anything at all.”

Fuck, this may very well be the end of Eurovision as a cultural force in Europe.

What’s going on:

  • The Dutch artist have been showing some mild unease at the Israel presence there this year during the past week. The Irish ones have been forced to change their looks because it included the words “ceasefire” and “freedom for Palestine” in ancient gaelic script.
  • Yesterday, someone from the Israel delegation joked about the dutch artist’s father death (the Dutch song is dedicated to him) and there was “an incident” (undisclosed, but the rumor-mill says the Dutch guy may have punched the jokester)
  • Eurovision have disqualified the Netherlands from today’s final.
  • The Dutch broadcaster association (those who pick who to send to EV) posted this a few hours ago:
  • There has been protest within the Finnish public broadcaster asking for Finland withdrawal
  • The head of the political party who is the junior partner in the government of Spain is also calling for our withdrawal.
  • The Israeli delegation seem to have spent the week literally harassing anyone they perceive as critical, with several complains about their behavior already being published.
  • The Israeli song is one of the favorites to win, and if they do, next year Eurovision would be organized by them. If that happen, there is no way several countries wouldn’t just refuse to take part.

So yeah, there is a chance this may be it for the festival. Good job, Eurovision. Great fucking job.

Shit is going down HARD in Eurovision right now.We are hours from the beginning of the fest and in the last couple of hours:

  • The french artist stopped his song during the dress rehearsal today, gave a speech about peace, and left the stage
  • The Irish ones sent a press release asking the EBU to disqualify Israel for the comments their broadcaster had done about the Irish song
  • Both Ireland and Greece didn’t show up to the festival flag parade that kickstarts the show.
  • Norway’s artist who were going to be the spokesperson of the jury tonight announced she is declining to participate… An hour ago, about 8 hours before she would have to go live

And now, the real winner of last year conquest and tumblr sexyman, Käärijä, just announced he is also stepping down as the Finnish jury spokesperson tonight. What a shitshow.

Another friend of the family had to leave her house in Rafah today because of the warning from the IOF. She had gathered the funds to evacuate her family to Egypt, but just as she was about to leave, they closed the border. She is absolutely devastated. Hundreds of families are experiencing this now.

And now they're bombing Jabaliya. There's not a single moment of rest for Ghazzawi.

This far more damning than just releasing the report, to me.

It's basically confirmation they found uncontrovertable evidence of Israeli war crimes and are going to sit on it to try to cover it up, full stop.

If there was even a gray area they would have released it, but do it quietly and then formulate a plan for excusing the crimes.

If the IOF's record in this war was clean they would have leaked it at least a week ahead of time and would be screaming about from roof of the White House and on every major cable news channel 24/7.

They did this shit with War on Terror "accountability" reports that we get 5-10+ years after the fact when people forgot and moved on to the next thing to be outraged at them about.

Translation: What a shitshow. This years Eurovision has gone to hell. And it's first and foremost the EBU's fault.

Also, excerpt from the same article:

Throughout the course of the Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU has acted as if they live in a parallel universe. Eurovision is one thing, the world outside something else. The EBU has stuck its head in the sand. Shoved the problem under the rug. Held their hands over their ears and shouted LALALALALA. They appear to have done everything they can to pretend it's possible to hold an apolitical event in a world that's on fire. We have come together to be "united by music", they say, but the sharpshooters on Malmö's rooftops have nothing to do with us! In its struggle to remain apolitical, the EBU has become like a small fascist state in itself, where the artists' space for expression and action has been reduced as much as the undergarments of the Spanish dancers. It is reprehensible.

Reminder again to BOYCOTT EUROVISION 🇵🇸

BDS added this section to their boycott page and I think people really need to read it:

please remember, pushing unorganized boycotts without carefully fact-checking every company in the list can be actively HARMFUL to the boycott movement.

A silent genocide is happening in Congo, and a man was so desperate for the world to acknowledge the suffering of his people that he set himself on fire. Why would a Congolese man set his own self on fire? While the answer is absolutely heartbreaking, it is also simple. Society does not respect, cherish, or value Black bodies. Although it is a degrading and dehumanizing realization, it is understood by Black and brown people that the part of us that is most appealing to others is our pain and our trauma. So while it was understood that he would lose his life through this act, it was also understood that the cries of the Congolese people would continue to be overlooked unless he provided the world with the trauma [censored: porn] of Black bodies that they feast on.

What is happening in Congo? The conflict and the genocide of the Congolese people is not new however the uptick of violence against them has risen with the increased demand for resources that aid in the production of clean energy. While Congo did gain independence after years of being colonized, oppressed, enslaved, and mass murdered by Belgium, they are currently ongoing the horrors of being trafficked, raped, murdered, and forced to work for little to no money by extremists militant groups. What do extremist militant groups want with Congolese people? As the demand for the resources needed to provide clean energy increases, militant groups are encouraged by money from the western world/ corporations to increase the supply of materials. This is done so at the expense of the safety, well-being, and lives of the Congolese people. What kind of horrors are the people in Congo experiencing? Aside from the trauma from witnessing the continuous genocide of their people and the possibility of being killed, Cobalt and a lot of the other materials being mined are highly toxic and should not be handled unless given the proper equipment and tools. This is obviously not the case for those mining the materials and people are being forced to touch Cobalt(which is extremely toxic) with their bare hands while also inhaling its fumes. Among these people are thousanda of children. Millions of people in Congo are currently facing displacement due to the high levels of trafficking taking place in order to produce more materials for western corporations. Women are experiencing unspeakable amounts of sexual violence in the mining areas and children are becoming sick from being exposed to toxic materials, exhaustion, and malnutrition. There are also thousands of children who are not currently receiving any kind of foundational level education due to them being forced to work in the mines. 12+ million have died since the start of this genocide 6+ million have been killed since the start of this genocide 5+ million have been displaced since the start of this genocide 40+ women are raped hourly since the start of this genocide

How are we complicit in this genocide and how can we help? The western governments and corporations are well aware of the conditions the people of Congo are working under and the atrocities they are facing, however with Congo producing over 60% of the worlds supply of Cobalt and generating billions of dollars worth of exports, they continue to look the other way. We can show up for the Congolese people through, educating ourselves, advocating for their humanitarian aid, signing petitions, and donating to reputableorganizations, however the biggest most effective way we can show up for them in this moment is by putting a pause on our over consumption of electronics, technology, and vehicles, which all use the materials that people in Congo are currently being killed to produce.

While having access to communication devices and computers may be necessary in todays world, it is not necessary to constantly upgrade our devices in order to have the newest models. When absolutely necessary to purchase consider buying used. \End descriptions]

[Plain text: Don’t forget about the Congo!! \End PT]

The news keeps saying that “aid in Gaza is running dangerously” low, but with Israel seizing the Rafah-Egypt crossing there is literally nothing. That was the lifeline of Gaza. Now that Israel is encroaching on Rafah full force there’s nowhere for aid to go & people are dying a slow painful death

I’m running out of words to describe how cruel and inhumane this is

This comes in tandem with Rafah closing its main maternity ward—because the IOF keeps intentionally firing in its vicinity—and Israeli settlers burning the perimeters of the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem. This has forced them to close.

Things in the West Bank are no better. The IOF tear-gassed and fired at Palestinians on a raid in Qalqiliya, which resulted in the hospitalization of a 15 year old. How can you look at all this and just be okay with dismissing it as “they’re just terrorists” is the 15 year old Hamas too. Are the pregnant women with no place to go a threat to the great state of Israel

“Part of my torture was being able to see how people were being tortured,” he said. “At first you couldn’t see. You couldn’t see the torture, the vengeance, the oppression.
“When they removed my blindfold, I could see the extent of the humiliation and abasement … I could see the extent to which they saw us not as human beings but as animals.”
"A 19-year-old detainee told an Al Mezan lawyer that he was tortured from the moment he was arrested," the group said. "He described how three of his fingernails were removed with pliers during interrogation. He also stated that investigators unleashed a dog on him and subjected him to shabeh—a form of torture which involves detainees being handcuffed and bound in stress positions for long periods—three times over three days of interrogation. He was then placed in a cell for 70 days, where he experienced starvation and extreme fatigue."

I hope the zionist regime burns down I hope everyone who defends the iof suffers in this life and the next. I hope you lib zionist apologists hear children screams in your dreams until you die.

I wish for a free palestine in my lifetime and I hope the survivors of Gaza and the camps live to see it. I wish our martyrs are in a paradise that is reminiscent of a palestine without border walls checkpoints and soldiers. I wish peace to their loved ones who survive without them. I wish justice be brought and leave no one complicit unscathed.

Israel doing well in Eurovision is a completely predictable result of the boycott. The people who are watching & voting in Eurovision are now at best willfully ignorant and apathetic and at worst actively pro-Israel, meaning there will be a disproportionate amount of people willing to vote for Israel and even people voting for them because of the boycott.

But saying that means that boycotting Eurovision was the wrong call completely misses the point of the boycott. The point is not "Israel should not win Eurovision", it is "Israel should not be allowed to compete in the first place". The point of the boycott is not to give the EBU views or money, so if you've been boycotting... don't give them money or legitimacy by voting for someone tomorrow to prevent Israel from winning. If Israel does win, that does not mean boycotting failed; it only further delegitimizes the competition and confirms we should burn the whole thing down.

If Israel ends up winning, that's the EBU's problem, not ours.

Don't watch, don't vote.
