Why do you Asian kpop fans always defend your faves for antiblack shit? For example, with the group seventeen, you can hear him say “ma naega” which sounds a lot like the slur yet you all defend him by saying its Korean language, he’s saying ‘I am’, and yada yada bull shit. Out of the entire Korean language, he chose a word that sounded like the n word. Amazing. Good job, Seventeen. Y'all’s careers are going down the drain.

The problem isn’t that he was naega though, you can’t get angry at him for speaking his own language but they did make it into like a pun or smth they knew that it sounded like the n word and thought it was funny.

No, they didn’t make it into a pun. If you look at the full sentence in which he used that word, it fits perfectly into the context: “Ma naega, MAMAae aiga ganda” aka Yeah I, am going to MAMA. Ma is a word in Korean Gyeongsang-do dialect, and he uses naega to refer that it is he who is going to MAMA. It’s no different from a Japanese person using “watashi wa/ga” to refer to him/herself. The other members laughed because he was speaking in his own dialect and Koreans find any dialect that’s not standard Seoul dialect funny.
