takes break from working on designs to do more designs, DC Comics top 3 faves edition, with a doodle of Jason, Dick, and Damian. since my top 3 ended up all being batfam (technically the top 4 are but Bruce would bring down the vibes) I wanted to give them sort of a team look while maintaining individual looks, which… didn’t quite turn out? maybe I’ll try again later

was getting increasingly frustrated working on RH: Prometheus, particularly design-wise, and remembered Procreate’s page assist function and how people use it to do little digital sketchbooks, so the first 7 pages of my RH:P sketchbook (not incl. the cover ‘cause it’s ugly and I want to redo it lol). trying to be looser and less focused on getting things done Right Now, which just tends to result in me being unsatisfied with everything and going back and redoing stuff, etc.
anyway a bunch of doodles with Jason, his guns, Dick & Bruce, a special guest appearance by the Joker recreating a reverse of the final UtRH confrontation for thematic reasons, and thematically relevant animals (not in that order). still working on designs, pinpointing relationships, etc.
unhappy with everything I’ve been trying to draw, went back to an older unfinished drawing that I still thought was pretty cute and finished it, + added one extra doodle. iirc I originally drew it because I just wanted to draw RH: Prometheus Dick bending over to talk to Robin!Jason, because smol. extra doodle demonstrates why Jay’s upset to begin with (Bruce sent him home during a mission) and features Dick gently noting Bruce is probably worried and looking for him since Jay wandered off to find Dick instead. it’ll be fine, probably.

I meant to go to bed early ‘cause I got like three hours of sleep last night but sometimes you get caught up doing other things then as you’re about to go to bed your brain fixates on the “And doing it because… …because he took me away from you.” line from Under the Red Hood and you just gotta draw some Jason before you go to bed. arguably too baby? but arguably not baby enough in UtRH in any panel except the “And doing it because…” panel? eh, good night

RH: Prometheus doodles, working more on resident oc Kieran’s design - face/expressions (guest-starring Jason & Cleo), current rough ideas for his costumes (as Talia’s “Sparrow”/Robin equivalent (in theory - in practice he ended up being more a comedically highly trained personal assistant + babysitter for Damian) and a more streetwear-based design for Gotham to go with Jason & Cleo’s similarly streetwear-based costumes), considering different mask designs, and a doodle of him, Damian, and Jason on one of their semi-regular, not-Bruce-approved outings
I’ve been wanting to draw something for RH: Prometheus directly referencing the story of Prometheus, but I couldn’t quite get my original idea for it to work so I took a look at classical/etc. paintings of Prometheus and landed on John Singer Sargent’s with its vulture (replacing the eagle) laying its head on Prometheus and its wings wrapped around him and went “hell yeah this symbolism works”, and thus, a redraw
RH: Prometheus Alan Scott, playing with his Green Lantern (or “Gotham Lantern”, to differentiate him from the space lanterns) design, + more hand practice and him interacting with Jason both as teens and adults, + cape physics doodle set. cape concept/intent: floaty, ethereal, prone to varying degrees of being magically on fire
missed drawing X-Men: Burning Bright Scott and wanted to practice drawing hands, thus
cape physics/shapes in RH: Prometheus, with rough sketches of Batman, a very rough Superman design, and two Robins, Jason & Damian.
concepts/intent:
Batman: organic and weighty, somewhere between an ink cloud and flesh, bordering on being its own character or at least Bruce’s ominous pet
Superman: angular, bold, buoyant, like wings when still like an action line when moving
Jason: being Robin gives him magic! floaty and round and protective
Damian: somewhere between Bruce & Jason - floaty, round, and protective, but also organic and weighty
success debatable? (particularly on Clark) but working on it

And none of that matters if you’re reblogged by someone who didn’t opt out. This does not work for me, and I think most of us, unless it’s opt-in. And no one would ever choose to opt in. So no company would ever do that.
I’ll link to long posts I write in the future, but I can’t be posting them in full here anymore. I had really liked how flexible the features are, but I can’t just hand my stuff to OpenAI on a platter. Some godforsaken company will find a way to scrape everything on the internet anyway, but I’d rather make them fight for it.

When you go to turn off 3rd party sharing, it says:
Prevent third-party sharing
This option will prevent your blog's content, even when reblogged, from being shared with our licensed network of content and research partners, including those that train AI models.
So the thing you’re worried about (your content getting scraped after it’s reblogged, regardless of what settings you choose), is not an issue.
Thank you for providing a correction. My secondary concern, however, is that it’s too late for those opt-outs or they won’t be honored, per this article:
It isn’t clear which data will be included, but the report suggests Automattic may have overreached initially. An alleged internal post from Tumblr product manager Cyle Gage suggests Automattic prepared to send private or partner-related data that wasn’t supposed to be included in the deal. The questionable content reportedly included private posts on public blog posts, deleted or suspended blogs, unanswered (therefore, not publicly posted) questions, private answers, posts marked explicit and content from premium partner blogs (like Apple’s former music site).
The internal post suggests Automattic’s engineers are preparing a list of post IDs that should have been excluded. It isn’t clear whether the data had already been sent to the AI companies.
Engadget emailed Automattic to ask for comment on the report. The company replied with a published statement, claiming, “We will share only public content that’s hosted on WordPress.com and Tumblr from sites that haven’t opted out.” The statement notes that legal regulations don’t currently require AI companies’ web crawlers to abide by users’ opt-out preferences.
A statement from Automattic then follows in the article, underlining its commitment to “attribution, opt-outs, and control.” Automattic also says there will be a new opt-out tool on Wednesday. However, Engadget notes,
So, if a Tumblr or WordPress user requests to opt out of AI training, Automattic will allegedly “ask” and “advocate for” their removal. And the company’s AI boss “believes” the AI companies will find it in their best interest to comply “based on our conversations.” (How’s that for reassurance!)

(“hey Rabbit how did Jason/Alan become a thing in this AU anyway” I don’t know I just thought it’d be fun to include Alan and decided to make him a contemporary of Jason’s and then they became childhood friends and it spiraled from there and now he’s an inextricable part of the story, good night)
