Chocolate guy has learned how to make corrugated cardboard. he is a powerful eldritch being who cannot be contained. The only reason we seem to be alive is because his interests are exclusively in the making of delicious lifelike desserts.

PACKING TAPE?? fucking PACKING TAPE??

This guy is my new hero. I LOVE learning about native food plants that just grow everywhere without human help.

The database is a little clunky to use (especially on a phone), but still loads of excellent information.

Here’s their website - Food Plant Solutions - and they can use volunteers! And $ of course. What they really need help with is connecting with NGOs/groups on the ground already working in countries, to get them access to the database. They also need help from formally trained agronomists, people good with website stuff, and people good at marketing / getting the word out about their project.

You know how people sometimes get a cat by just having a random stray cat with no collar and no chip walk in and sit on the couch like "yo fucknuts I live here now", and the people just go "well fuck, guess I gotta go get a litterbox then."

Now consider: Humans doing that to the fae. Not being captured by the fae folk, not taken against their will but stubbornly walking in to their realm and refusing to leave before one of them agrees to take this damn creature. Faeries telling each other "naww come on, you can't make it leave, it already ate your food. Everyone knows you gotta keep them if you've fed them."

And another faery yells back "I did not fucking feed that thing, it climbed into my pantry and was eating flour straight out of the bag!"

Socializing speedrun (Any %)

This is why it was so much easier to make friends when you were in school; you were trapped with those people all day Monday to Friday. It’s OK that it’s harder to make really good friends now that you’re an adult

Yes, this! It’s also why regular get together are so useful. If you want to make friends as an adult? Join a book club, go to a craft meet up, find an excuse to hang out w/ approximately the same people once a week for a couple of hours. As you get to know them, invite them out other places. Yes, it’s a pain to have to do the work to socialize, but if you want the friends, you have to trap yourself with the other people.

Reblogging for all my mutuals who have asked “Why is it so hard to make friends as an adult?”

“if you want the friends, you have to trap yourself with the other people” sounds so sinister.

This post is meant to serve as a jumping off point. Those citations exist for a reason and we encourage you to read further. This post can only address so much.

There was so much that simply couldn’t be covered in such a short post; not to mention a breadth of research that feels like it should be must read material for this topic.

A huge thank you to willatheewisps and a.hearth.witch (on instagram) for going over this prior to posting.

Let us know in the comments if you’re interested in a post going over the origins of the Christian Zionist movement, as well as how it inspired Jewish Zionism.

Did you know that it was a “proto-Christian Zionist” Church of Scotland clergyman & author Alexander Keith who coined the phrase, “land without a people and a people without a land” in his 1843 book?

I’m reblogging this to reply to you because the notes are restricted. You asked to be pointed in the direction of someone who believes this…let me introduce you to the entire congregations of all 3 churches I attended as a child. Why did we attend 3 different churches? Because my dad was and still is a crowd follower. When his church bestie went somewhere else and said “the spirit” was moving more over there, off we went.

This is a very popular mindset in my neck of the woods. It was only 2 years ago I overheard him on Skype with his fiancée telling her the Palestinians basically needed to get out and “leave The Holy Land to the Jews and if not…oh well.” In a conversation where he was shrugging off and cheering on genocide, because in his mind it’s the first step toward the rapture.

In which he’ll be one of the first ones drawn up, of course.

Now, having said that, I will not be entertaining any replies from you that have even a hint of skepticism. You will simply be blocked. You asked to see such a person, I obviously can’t introduce you to my dad and a couple hundred people who live in my town. But this is a very real, very dangerous mindset.

But there’s always John Hagee

If you want more, google is your friend.

"homosexuality is unnatural! there's only two genders! it's a sin-"

I'm sorry, have you seen NATURE???

and there's so many more species than this that exhibit homosexuality, varying genders, etc. SO! MANY!

it's very much a natural thing. it always has been. unfortunately, while homosexuality is found in many species, homophobia is only found in one

ALSO THE ARTIST IS HUMON, FIND THEM AT HUMONCOMICS.COM!! was so sure I had included that but apparently I forgot, so sorry!

this is from an Australian youtube channel where they go to hat tower and drop things

Water doesn’t compress very much, so once it hit it’s terminal velocity, it was basically a solid ball, not a liquid. This is why you can use water to cut things if you have a high enough pressurized jet of it.

The reverse POV of “if you’re too high, hitting the water is like hitting concrete”

Well that's not in one piece anymore

We found out today that two of the drops we were told to do six to eight times a day (but don't bother waking up to give them, just when you're awake is good) don't actually have a restriction beyond don't give it more than once an hour. And in fact, the more we give it, the faster the potential healing of the ulcer. We are halfway through the period of time between being seen by the eye vet and when we go back to the eye vet to get his eye checked out again because of this flare up.

Why would you not tell us that we could have been dosing him hourly with the two eye drops that are going to promote healing the best out of the ten eye drops we are doing at a sometimes every two hours interval?

Voting is not ritual magic binding you to our current system and rendering you unable to even contemplate more radical change.

Sayeth my friend. It's never "instead of voting", guys, it's always "as well as". Tactical voting and mutual aid. Nothing stopping you from having a revolution as well as turning up at the ballot box.

And look! It works! It helps! It mattered! We did some good shit last night across the country. Nothing huge, nothing earth shattering. We moved the needle forward. We took steps forward. We made progress! That's what matters. We have to keep that up. We have to do that again. And again and again. No matter big or small things. We moved forward and we will keep on moving forward as long as we keep showing up and doing the hard thing even when it's not fun and sexy and thrilling. Just like last night. Congratulations 🎉👏🏻 we adulted well and it made a difference.

In Ohio y'all ratified abortion as a right in your state constitution.

In Kentucky y'all re-elected a progressive governor and kept a weirdo Trump supporter asshat out.

In Virginia y'all gained control of BOTH congressional house & senate.

In Pennsylvania y'all put a progressive woman Justice on your Supreme Court.

And all across the nation y'all told Moms For Liberty where to shove their NAZI book burning tactics.
