“Yeah, if you want to.” He’s not sure if they’re a formal thing yet, but whatever they are, he knows Gajeel better than most, and he’d trust him to go with him. “All the partying and dancing I won’t be doing aside, I wanna see what’s up.”

Gajeel visibly eases, and he cracks a smile. “Alright! Let’s go see what’s up! Together.” Was this an official date? Probably not, but he would take it. Gajeel wasn’t one for big parties either really, but it would be nice to feel like part of the community. It would be extra nice going with Laxus.

He shrugged off the intrusive thought quite literally, and replaced his signature grin on his studded face. He was truly happy for the married couple, and he looked forward to seeing what all had changed in his home guild. 

“But I’ve been good! Got to see a lotta new places. The mission wasn’t so much hard as it was just long as hell. I’m glad to be back, that’s fer sure.”
