I think I would actually like Ward more if people defending him weren't so over-the-top. They make him look bad: I bet Ward would be embarrassed of the shit they make up to prove he is a good guy, really. And their rudeness reflects on the way people see this character, too.
Thus far these people haven’t managed to ruin my enjoyment of the character, but if they keep this up for too much longer they just might, and they’ve certainly ruined some of my enjoyment of the actual fandom.
