SWEAT SERIES: SWEATHEORY - HOLLYWOOD, CA

I'm so excited to finally start a new series on my blog called SWEAT SERIES. I'll be heading to different fitness studios to share my personal experience along with information I feel like you guys would love & need to know! As much as I want this to be a personal blog, I also want this platform to be resourceful to my followers. Each "Sweat Series" post will have the same template (shown below) with additional modifications of course :) If you guys have anything else you want me to cover, please feel to comment below! I'll be covering obviously Los Angeles based fitness studios but once I start traveling, I hope to take this globally!

Private dressing areas -showers (with bath essentials already provided) & personal sauna included in each one, cold Eucalyptus or Lavender towels post class, *alkaline water on draft, tampons provided in the restroom (Yes, I pay attention to that!)

  VIBE

When you walk in, you'll immediately feel at home. Kid you not, every corner was instagrammable (yes, that's not a word but we'll play pretend, ya?) I actually first tried this studio using my ClassPass!

You'll feel your own sense of security in the rooms with the shower and sauna. The yoga room is SMALL and it can fit about 10 people. I personally like that because I feel like the instructor can focus more on each student vs other studios where 30 of us are jammed like sardines in a can. I love that it's very intimate and small which creates a friendly atmosphere. Since it's an enclosed space, they're very attentive to maintaining the cleanliness of the studio! I have YET to try the Vitamin Injections but hope to do so when I come back. I'd probably take my BFF here for her birthday since we like to treat each other to the ultimate pampering experience! Whether it's a class or a sauna session, I highly recommend trying it out!

S/O to SWEATHEORY for having us!

Blessings,

M

I was wondering if you had any advice about finding time to take care of yourself and loving yourself and actually like spending time with yourself? lol Like what things to do and things that encourage you? I really like your blog! very inspirational and makes me want to do better and create a vision like how you create yours. thanks in advance! you're awesome!

It took me A WHILE to find time to love and spend time with myself. Sometimes I get so wrapped up on the hustle, I fail to take care of myself. I learned and read that successful people make time in the morning for themselves. Before anyone is up & before they log in to their emails, successful people have morning rituals.

I like to meditate at least 5-10 minutes in the morning, read for about 20 minutes, and stretch my body all before getting ready for work.

& thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so so happy I could inspire. I cannot wait to see it! Much love

Hey! I was wondering how you use the passion planner for fitness? I am just starting to get back into fitness after a year of not working out. And since I have to access to a gym, I am just planning my workouts at home. I kind of have a rough idea on how my workouts are going to be, but Im just figuring out on how to incorporate that into my passion planner, since i have school schedule. Where do you list all your workouts in the PP? xx

Hi Girl! I definitely use my passion planner for my fitness journey. Where it says “Today’s Focus” I write the target muscle. For example: Monday = Chest/Tri-ceps & Cardio Tuesday = Glutes & Hammies etc etc. Each week has a MAIN FOCUS - I always write something that will help me mentally! “Being positive” “Loving yourself” “Be more patient.” It’s totally up to you! If you want to do more fitness based, I think it’s a great idea that you write a physical goal you want to achieve ex. Running XX miles, hitting PR on my squats, etc.

As for each individual day and if the time isn’t something you look at, write out your work out at the very top, and all your tasks on the second half.

I also write the target muscles on the monthly calendar on the bottom of each day so I can get an overall view of my fitness journey. What I love about Passion Planner is that you are able to use it to whatever works for you! I hope this helps :)

Although I moved on to my own blog, www.macarigma.com, I will forever come back to Tumblr because I feel like I can really be myself on here! Beyond bless to start on Tumblr borrowing my best friend’s Nike clothes to put dope outfits together. I’m happy to say I’ve worked with some amazing brands like adidas.

I can’t thank the Lord enough for the blessings he has given me. Cheers to a good year so far. Keep hustling & never get comfortable when you reach “success”.
