Ok.....let's discuss the Robin x Nancy pen pal AU. The one where Robin is Nancy's anonymous pen pal for a school project. They kinda fall in love over time obvi but Robin never reveals she's a girl so Nancy assumes she's writing a boy because heteronormativity.

It's juicy and angsty and teens feel FEELINGS ok!!!!! Because Robin figures out who her pen pal is eventually and doesn't know how to come clean because finally, FINALLY, she's the one who got the girl but she can't have the girl without ruining her life and everyone cries a bunch.

For everyone complaining about how these two can get arrested and it won’t affect their careers, you’re right. It most likely won’t hurt their careers. That’s why they keep going out and doing it. They’re using their platform to their advantage. They’re both white, of an older generation, and famous enough to be recognized. They’re holding their generation accountable and making an effort to show up and enforce change. This isn’t them advertising a TV show or some bs, they’re there to help
