I FUCKED UP- an explination

You might of noticed that my name changed here and you’re right! I can explain.

I got locked out of my AIM email which is linked to this tumblr. I wanted to change my password on here after i’ve forgotten it and change my AIM to an actual, professional email, but my AIM got compromised and suspended during the FA hacks and calling AOL didn’t help as I made it with a bullshit name of “Kristal (unknown BS last name)” and they wont give you any information even if you know your PW, security questions, address…etc.

 So because I can’t change my password and log on properly on any device beyond my PC which has the cookies, so this is now an archive to my own stupidity. I don’t want to delete this archive as that’s almost 50K+ posts going down the drain from the past 5-6 years in this shithole

You know your movie is shit if your only defense to get people to watch it is to fight against the “big bad misogynists”. If it actually looked like a good movie, you wouldn’t need to use that as your only excuse.

But why bother encouraging people not to see the movie? It should be their decision either way. The trailer did look like shit, but the people making the movie haven’t done anything that really warrants a boycott, so honestly the tag does seem sexist.

they made it right after harold ramis died, yknow the actor for egon and co-writer for the first two?

plus the plot was leaked and it doesn’t even take place in the original universe

what really angers people is that after one of the people who created this dies fighting for a good third movie, they go “oh let’s make the most generic plot ever and pander to everyone except the people who liked the movies”

plus i think this is the straw that broke the camels back in regards to crappy reboots and remakes, this does warrant a boycott because we’ll get more nostalgia baiting remakes like this one and alllll the ones we’ve gotten in the last few years alone!

OP, I’m going to tell you this right now, woman-to-woman: Your post is useless.  There is no market for this movie.  They’ve already lost and alienated the people they needed the most.  The ones they’re trying to appeal to with it aren’t interested (and let’s face it–modern “feminism” NEVER shows their support through their wallets.  In fact, they’re more inclined to sabotage others’ fundraisers for overshadowing their own lack of effort, as has happened three times in the last two years.  I’ll be more than happy to give you sources for this, if you’d like).  I think you’ll notice fairly quickly from the notes on this that “feminists” stop caring about an issue if it means they have to fork over any money, or put in any actual effort.  Now, be honest: YOU wouldn’t be interested if you didn’t see it as another chance to lash out at men.

You are pretty much proving to the world that you have absolutely no faith in this film.  NO ONE does.  They are using women as props to sell a bad film, and deflect honest criticism.  If you actually are legitimately interested, I urge you to read through the link provided by Takashi.  It is an outline of the film provided by a screener.  It is convoluted, uninspired, and groan-inducing.  Secondly, take a look here:

There are a lot of reasons to be against this film that have nothing to do with women, including: Sony’s intended litigation against Bill Murray if he refused to appear in it, the film being greenlit immediately after Harold Ramis’ passing (with the full knowledge that he was against it), negative female stereotypes, and negative racial stereotypes.

This is not a boycott against women.  It is a boycott against tackiness, poor quality, and emotional manipulation.  You are only contributing to the fact that people are weaponizing gender against criticism.  That’s not okay.  That allows them to half-ass whatever they attempt, and try to bully and shame us into accepting it.  As women, we’re the ones that should be against this movie more than anyone.

The new ghostbusters is nothing BUT feminist propaganda that its sad. Sony knows it can reel a certain group of people and roll with it (feminists) due to how stupid and gullible they are.

Like brb, im gonna go watch films with strong female characters that feminists always ignore for their victim complexes like Mad Max or Aliens.
