married steddie but they don't live a super lavish life. they're dirt poor, living in a small house at the end of a dead end road that they rent off one of wayne's buddies. steve's a manager at walmart along with robin. eddie's main job is welding but he also does tattooing on the side, so they host a lot of tattoo parties for their friends every other weekend.

there's music and beer and laughing. eddie always asks steve, "you want a new one, baby?" bc all of steve's tattoos have been done by eddie. he won’t let anyone else near him with a gun. eddie doesn’t give him giant ones, only ones that take up a small-ish patch of skin.

inevitably, there's always teasing from their friends. "we gotta pay for ours, how come you ain't charging him, huh?"

to which steve answers, after snagging eddie's beer from his hand and taking a swig and winking, "oh, don't worry, i'll pay him later tonight."

their friends hoot and holler at eddie's flustered grin as steve smacks a kiss to his cheek.

He grits his teeth through it. “Shit, my lord, you can cut the formalities, darling,” the god chuckles. “Though I do like seeing you on your knees.” “What should I call you then?” Steve asks. “Your divine presence? Celestial master? Pompous ass?” The god just laughs and glances over his shoulder at his own ass. “Not much there to be considered pompous, I’m afraid,” he says before he turns back to Steve, no trace of the anger that Steve is choking on found in his face. “I like celestial master, has some dramatic flair to it. But Eddie will do just fine.” “God of wine making and pleasure,” Steve says automatically. “Also of orchards and fruit, fertility, ritual madness, religious ecstasy and theater, darling,” Eddie does a little bow himself. “At your service.”

or: after helping Tommy slay the minotaur, Steve gets left behind on a small island to die. That's where he meets Eddie, god of wine and pleasure. Steve doesn't like gods, but this one is different. This one might help him heal from all his trauma, guilt, and broken heart.

Steve doesn't know what he's hoping for, only that he doesn't want his night to end without at least getting Eddie's number.

PINCH HITTERS NEEDED

We are well into our way for the event, and with a bigger event this time, drops are bound to happen. So we need pinch hitters.

Pinch hitters are people who step in when an author can no longer work on the fic. You will take a slide, write a 3,000 - 20,000 story in an accelerated timeline, and post it during the month of June with the rest of the authors. However, you will not receive a fic in return for your efforts. There's a chance you may not be called upon to be a pinch hitter! And if you are, you will be able to look at the slide and can decline to work on it. Declining will not mean you won't have another chance (if there is one) to pinch hit.

Your role in this event is invaluable! Thank you for considering to sign up as a pinch hitter.

Whatever you want it to be - ch 4 My @subeddieweek fic

Eddie's universe collapses. Doesn’t so much as put up a fight, just cracks wide open along the red-hot fissures that have been forming all day, ever since the locker room. Crumbles into fine ashes, just to reshape itself into a new world where only one single thing matters.  Steve.

there’s a decent amt of neurologists who’ve called the sleep schedules we’re obligated to be on despite flagrant conflict with our natural circadian rhythms “borderline torture” and the work hours we’re expected to put in despite the fact that the average person can only maintain maximal efficiency and focus for 3 hours at a time “nearly inhumane” and i think about that a lot
