3) WE DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. TAYLOR COULD’VE SPOKEN TO HER OR HER MOTHER AS WELL.

You see, it would have been so easy for Taylor to just tweet the hashtag like every other celebrity. 140 characters, 15 seconds, zero thought. But she chose to quietly help move Kesha 1/8 the way closer to her freedom, and all without ever trying to take credit for herself—we only just found out from Kesha’s mom tonight. Aside from Tree’s confirmation, Taylor has yet to even acknowledge the donation. She did it because she wanted to help a fellow artist, not to score some cheap PR for herself on twitter. The mark of a real man or woman is what they do, and why. Not just what they say.
