I am, like, a long running proponent of the "eat something and you'll feel better" crowd and am often one of the first people to suggest "maybe it's time for a snack before I get whipped into a frenzy" but I really do resent how instantaneous it is. like it'll feel like I'm having my worst day in months and then I'll start eating and literally before I even finish I'm like oh yeah the world is beautiful

The US loves to fucking throw its weight around to exploit and overrule the actions of sovereign nations. This has been true throughout most of US history. We can observe this in general in the genocidal land-grabbing American Indian Wars, the inception of the Monroe Doctrine, the US anti-communist “Domino Theory,” Operation Condor, the founding of NATO, and the various countries that the US is waging economic war against via blockades and sanctions, as well as military intervention wherever the US wants, without even declaring war. And of course there is a laundry list of specific nations that the US has unilaterally intervened in.

I have to say this every time because they deserve the credit and support in their activist work: this is so deeply sad given that the originator of the phrase is a prison abolitionist who compiles art by prisoners in A.B.O comix & was referring to arson in their original graffiti.
