logan’s biggest mistake was making the wrong kind of friends. not to mention, his brother was the worst of them all. but he was family and a couple of years for him verses a lifetime in prison for his brother — it made sense at the time. until he found out that lily was pregnant, but the damage had already been done at that point.
as she tried to close the door on him, his brows furrowed — frustrated, but not angry because he understood. ❝ what are you even talking about? i had to be a big man? what does that even mean? ❞ she was angry, but she wasn’t making any sense to him. ❝ it’s not like that, i made the ‘choice’ before i even knew and you know that. ❞
The sight of him made her feel sick, all the emotions she’d repressed to focus on her daughter had moved to the front of her brain. Luckily their daughter was at a friends place for a bit so she didn’t have to worry about the brown haired little girl running to see who was at the door.
“I mean exactly that.” She snapped “You had to prove to your brother that you were some macho man that could do whatever the fuck he wanted and to absolute hell with the rest of us.” She ranted feeling like she’d been kicked in the stomach as she did. “What? I wasn’t enough then is that it? I begged you to listen to me and you didn’t give a shit and did whatever the fuck you and your brother wanted. So, now after years, I’m just supposed to believe you’re going to stick around for my daughter? Well, fuck that and fuck you.” She said almost shouting at him.
