Sherlock is a hidden Omega until suppressant medication is made illegal. John, his Alpha flatmate is willing to help him, but not if it means crossing boundaries where he shouldnât go. Sherlock doesnât speak human well enough to tell John he loves him until some sweaty coupling has them speaking truth. Brilliant.

In this world, omegas are little more than possessions kept enslaved by an alpha elite. When alpha!John discovers that his flatmate, Sherlock, is really an omega on the run from an abusive spouse, he gets drawn into politics that never crossed his mind before. Fic is very thinky, and written with exquisite care.
Omegaâs Lament  series by tunteeton, 7 part series. John is an alpha, Sherlock is an omega with a past. John canât let Sherlock suffer when he finds out Sherlock was bonded as a teenager, then abandoned to ride his increasingly dangerous heats alone.  With Mycroftâs help, they struggle to release Sherlockâs old bond so that he and John might be truly united.  Oh, the angst. Happy ending, but oooh, the feels.
