☆ – The girl’s story made it clear that she was a human, but when he said ‘monster’ thoughts of fighting off ghouls immediately came to mind. A human had managed to fight someone off that strong? Maybe they were weak? Then again, she did say monsters, so a group of them? 

“Huh? H-How did you do that with just a scratch!” he said, looking at her in a mixture of awe, fascination, and slight disbelief.

Looking at the wound, it was small that Kaneki assumed it must’ve been an Ukaku, not knowing that the blonde girl was referring to a different type of monster.

                          Her signature pose would usually accompany the statement,                           but she doesn't really feel like getting up. Though it seems                           she's stuck in this get up until she's able to transform, as long                           as this guy isn't about to attack her, she's fine with that.

☆ – Worrying over everyone he came across, Kaneki felt bad for the girl whose face was hidden beneath a mess of blonde locks. He approached slowly, kneeling down beside her.

“H..Hey..” he said in a soothing voice, “What happened? Are you hurt badly?” whether she was a human or a ghoul, Kaneki couldn’t tell from just looking at her, so he had to choose his words with caution.

                          "I was fighting some stupid monsters and                           I won! But one of them cut me a little."

It doesn't occur to her that monster could mean something very different to the one helping her. Thankfully this fight didn't involve any ghouls, and she'd rather it stayed that way.
