I have a creepy obsession with blonds and I keep making the same face.
The woman who barely had her “female presenting” nips on show (before tumblr shut that down) in the bottom picture is a Skyrim character I made 4 years ago in 2017. I thought she was all that back then and I posted her to the Nexus supporter images section.
Anyway, cut to 2021 and I’m making a dude in SSE. I also think he’s all that and so I’m about to upload his picture to the Nexus… only to come across his low-poly, last-gen twin sister. They look so much alike it’s freaking me out and it’s not even that Skyrim is limited in character creation because I sculpt my heads by hand.
I just have this beauty standard in my mind I guess and making think I’m in a rut when it comes to creating interesting characters.

The lighting changes in this game can make V look like a completely different person.
Just an experiment to see how Tumblr handles rescaling large images.
OK, I give up. The information I read said that Tumblr resizes images to 1280px wide, which in the case of the 16:9 images is one third the size. I also thought if I resized it myself, it wouldn’t look so crap but no matter what I upload, it gets compressed and looks crappier than the originals but for some reason the bigger sizes looks better up close but blurrier overall...
I think I’m gonna just try not to stress and just upload the original sizes and crop what I don’t need because the portrait shots look much better.

No third person means you have to try really hard to tell a story in screenshots. I wish there were more poses and facial expressions. Also you can look at the camera but you can’t freeze your character looking in that direction so it’s hard to make characters look at each other.
I’ll bring it up again but FFXIV is great for this. You can really set up a scene even though you don’t need to because you can just snap all the action in cutscenes.
P.S Screw Tumblr for compressing my images. The last pic is a cutout of the one before. What’s the point in taking high quality screenshots and posting them if Tumblr just cruds it all up? Grr.
Just finished Cyberpunk with male V and I don’t want to talk about it lol. That “romance” and that ending (which was supposed to be the happiest ending)... I romanced Kerry before even meeting River and I almost cried because he seemed THIS close to romancing V before he nohomo’d him. Apart from obsessively creating characters, I don’t know what it is drawing me back to Night City but I just started again for real with a Latina street kid with pink hair who I wish I could name. Not sure how I’m going to play things this time but I’m going to skip a LOT of the Johnny shit. I fucking hate that guy and I’m sorry Keanu. you can’t act. My two favourite characters were Judy and River and I can romance either with Valentina (or Victoria? - those are basically my only two choices) here. Let’s see how much trouble she can get into when I’m not worried about doing everything wrong or getting the “best” ending.

Made a female V, corpo. Her voice makes zero sense for that life path but it’s a cool voice and I like it. I’ll probably remake her if I ever do a female playthrough with one of the other starts.
Made a street kid with cyborg eyes to play through the prologue (which is the only one I haven’t done) and then started messing around. A good place to find good lighting is when you are just about to go into a a dialogue scene or just after. The other character is usually lit well and you can get in on the action.
Now I have to stop fucking around and play the damn game.
Jackie has daemon eyes because he’s on a call and that’s what happens I guess... *shrug*
I downloaded this mod which unlocks additional graphics settings that fixes the shitty third person character models. You still need decent lighting but if I were to guess, it was missing subsurface scattering, the highest LOD settings and ambient occlusion.
And it doesn’t really affect frame rate. I can finally take pictures in natural lighting. Oh and he’s nude on the bike because I just loaded the same save and then I thought it was funny. No junk though so don’t worry.
