This is the third time Bandette has been so honored (previous years: 2013, 2016) and we could not be more proud. We thank our digital publishing company, Monkeybrain Comics, and our digital distributor, Comixology, for providing us with the platform to create the best comic we can make. We also thank Dark Horse Comics for producing beautiful hardcover print editions of Bandette.
Finally, we thank the brilliant artists who have contributed their work to the Urchin Stories series of 2-3 page backup comics, featuring the many secondary characters who populate Bandette’s world! 4x speed. Sorry for the dodgy framing and my big dumb hand getting in the way! I was having a hard time keeping a point on the brushes: a well-used Winsor & Newton size 2 and a Princeton size 0. After this panel I broke out a new W & N brush and spent far less time struggling to get a fine line! The paper is Strathmore bristol 400 series, velum surface, with inkjet blue lines.
