Locked out of your account?

Tumblr not willing to help you? What else is new!

So if you’re locked out because, like me, you’ve been in this flower decorated shithole for such a long time that the email you used got terminated by Microsoft and, like me, do not wish to lose the blog you’ve spent years on and “simply make a new one” like our dearest staff suggests, here’s an easy fix!

Get this swell trick–

Your account was terminated, right?

So logically speaking, the email is no longer used, right? Catching on yet?

Yeah, just make a new email with the same exact address as the one you used on for your blog!

You’ll be able to receive the reset email no problem. Yay!

It WORKED IT WORKED, bless you!!

Just so we're fucking clear (I'm looking at you shady bitches) I do not believe that it's ok for a parent to forget their child in the car. I do believe that shit fucking happens, it can't be taken back, and I will have sympathy for their loss and the fact that they have to live with this guilt pressing on them for as long as they live. I do believe that it's nobody's fucking place to add to that guilt. It's nobody's place to shame these parents, or others who take precautionary steps to not make the same mistake.

Avatar

Basically, if I see you literally openly hating on and judging parents who made an awful mistake that lead to their children's death, I will judge you for being a heartless fucking asshole. These parents don't need your judgment, they have enough of that. They don't need you shaming them and doing your fucking best to make them feel guilty- they get enough of that from themselves. They don't need you telling the world that they're horrible, they already think they are. They have to live with this mistake their entire lives, they have to live knowing what they've done, they have to go in asking themselves how they could have changed what happened, how they could have avoided that mistake. They literally don't need anything from you but your sympathy and support. They are parents just like you, or just like you will be, and if this happened to you, you wouldn't appreciate the shit that's written all over the Internet. I wonder how many of these parents are consumed by depression and suicidal thoughts? I wonder how your "opinions" contribute to those thoughts and their depression? I wonder how you'd feel knowing they ended their life bcos they were flooded by comments and opinions that mirror yours. Also, please fucking explain to me why parents who are proactive and do their best to not let themselves make the same mistake are judged? Why are people saying they don't deserve to be parents???? They're taking steps to make sure the same shit doesn't happen to them- doesn't that make them a good parent????? I wonder, do you judge every parent who child proofs their medicine cabinet, laundry room, or kitchen sink? No???? Then why the fuck are you judging parents that make sure they fucking remember something?

I didn’t see anyone mention this scene so I just wanted to talk about it for a second.

I really liked how this was the first time that any gem talked about or acknowledged the presence of their non-sentient mineral counterpart. As in, this is the first time that any gem has acknowledged that they are… rocks, not just in name but in actual substance.

I just thought this was a cool little bit of world-building. Also, I just love how affectionate and proud Peridot was to be made of the same stuff as magma.

One truly sad thing about the Addams Family Values film? Debbie never realized she fit in EXACTLY with the Addams family.

So she was a black widow serial killer who murdered all her ex-husbands for the cash. Um, you think any of them gave a shit about that? Heck, they’d have been impressed. Even Morticia seemed a bit in awe of her at the end.

It’s heavily implied in the film that all Debbie was ever really looking for was love and acceptance. Well, she’d kind of found it. She just didn’t realize it.

Man, that family would have loved her, no matter what. If she’d only given them the chance.

Dude, I’m pretty sure Morticia damn near stated that she’d be fine if she stopped trying to kill Fester.  That and the pastels were LITERALLY the only things anyone in the family had any problems with.

Pastels are a bigger deal to the Addams family than being an internationally wanted serial killer, of course.

Heck, they’d have been fine with her trying to kill Fester even. It’s not like he minded, Addamses are damn near indestructible. Wednesday and Puglsy electrocute each other and attack one another with swords as a fun game. Their only real issue was that Debbie was isolating Fester from the rest of the family and trying to keep them apart.

Debbie seemed creeped out by the family (and Fester too) in general, but imagine an alternate ending where she learns to accept the Addamses just as they accept her. Imagine a flash forward to next year where she’s pouring poison into Fester’s drink while he gazes adoringly at her and everyone laughs like “oh, Debbie, that’s our little black widow.”

dont shave your huskies unless they have a medical skin issue and the vet says to (don’t shave like 98% of dogs unless they have a medical skin issue and the vet says so)

their coats aren’t supposed to be cut and it fucks up their fur, possibly forever, leaving it malfunctioning during the winter. rather than leaving them “cooler for the summer,” it allows them to get sunburn.

so if you notice your dog is hot during the summer, make sure you’re brushing out their undercoat and if there’s a lot of it, go ahead and have the groomers do a deshedding - which shouldn’t involve shaving but does involve using special tools and techniques to get soooo much dead, shed undercoat off of the dog. if you have a heavy-coated breed and live somewhere hot, shaving JUST the belly can help your dog cool off - they lie down on cool floors and the heat exchange cools them down.

also don’t shave corgis or golden retrievers

you really shouldn’t be shaving any short-haired dog and you should only be trimming your long-haired dog. unless your dog’s hair doesn’t shed (like a poodle’s) don’t shave them.

College Freshman Stabbed to Death After Seeing Three Young Women Being Groped and Stepping in to Help

With final exams on the horizon, Donnell Marcus Phelps was all set to finish his freshman year at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.

The 19-year-old from Marshallville had been studying agricultural engineering technology but also found time to manage the university’s tennis team.

 And help those in need.

Late Tuesday afternoon he witnessed a man harassing three young ladies. The man was touching these girls in a very inappropriate way, so he decided to step in. However, he was forced to bring fists to a knife fight.

An autopsy showed Phelps was stabbed four times in the upper torso with a pocket knife with a 3.5-inch blade.

Words cannot describe the pain that we all feel in the Fort Valley State community,” university President Paul Jones said at news conference, offering condolences to Phelps’ family, friends, students and the entire community.

Johnson described Phelps as selfless: “He always gave us hugs, and he’d always check up on us,” she added to the Telegraph.

Donnell Phelps died a hero. His Mom did an incredible job raising an amazing person. God bless this young man for his sacrificial act of bravery. His life matters.

 RIP Donnell Phelps.

Only 19 years old and died protecting women in a day and age when people will literally be bystanders & shut an eye to someone else being harmed. Beyond brave and this is so heart breaking.

Is there any benefit/need to having a midwife or doula (or anything other than an OB) when you KNOW you're having a planned c-section? (Asking here cause y'all seem knowledgeable, opinionated, and have a large audience.... Plus, I like you guys)

I’d leave this question open to the masses. I had a midwife, but I didn’t know that I would have severe preeclampsia and have to have a cesarean. Ladies?

Hey Nonny! As you may hear from many women who have had a cesarean, you will likely be strapped down, not get to hold your baby/get skin to skin immediately, they may put up a curtain so you can’t see what’s happening/watch your baby be born, etc.. If you DON’T want your experience to be like that or there are very specific things you want to happen during and after your surgery, a doula will 100% fight to make your wishes a reality, won’t let your partner cave, can help you make tough decisions, will help to keep you calm, can tell you everything that’s going on with your child’s birth, and so much more. If I had to have a cesarean I would choose a doula over a midwife. *I want to add that while a midwife will also do these things for you, it is specifically a doulas job to do everything in their power to support you and help you achieve the birth you want/need.
