Truth be told, the slender gem was on edge as well. Not terrified, but something about the suddenness of thunderstorms unnerved her. It definitely wasn’t pleasant though…
Before too long she heard the other shuddering behind the couch. Walking over towards it, Pearl peeked over the edge, her voice soft. “Amethyst?”
The smaller Gem wasn’t even sure why she was so scared of thunder. It was just a NOISE. Something that couldn’t possibly harm her. Hearing Pearl’s voice, she jumped and peered up at her.
“H-hey, P.” She quickly tried wiping the tears away, “I was just... uh--” Another crackled of thunder and Amethyst cringed, wrapping her arms around herself.
She was NOT hiding behind the couch, trying to drown out the sound of the crashing thunder. Nope. Not Amethyst, she wasn’t terrified of thunderstorms. NUH-UH, NO WAY. Or... she wasn’t ever going to admit it, at least.
