And not only did he get along with merlin, arthur was defying his father to save his life within a few weeks of knowing him. anyway my point is that this can’t even be classified as a slow burn because not only did arthur fall head over heels in love with a clumsy smile and a pair of shining eyes, it happened so quickly he didn’t even recognize it for what it was.
