The Swedish royal wedding today was awesome because:
-They walked to the altar to Enya
-One of the priests was black
-The sermon was a racing metaphor
-A Swedish-Syrian man sang a Coldplay song (specifically Fix You), where a hymn would usually have been sung
-Prince Carl Philip had huge difficulties getting the ring on his bride’s finger
- And his laughing was glorious and contagious when in proved so difficult
-Princess Madeleine is minutes away from labour and was totally on top of her game for big bros wedding
-Young Princess Estelle behaved ridiculously well for a three-year old as one of the flower girls
-A Swedish rendition of Rihanna’s Umbrella was sung after the sermon
-Carl Philip and Sofia walked away from the altar to something jazzy that ended up as essentially a gospel moment of glory with all the guests standing up and clapping in church
-everyone was so happy and relaxed and it was nothing like the other recent royal weddings
