Wendy appeared on the Today Show with Maria Shriver. If you have a few free minutes, watch the video here.
Wendy appeared on the Today Show this morning and told her inspiring story – from single mom to Texas Senator. “I’m not an overnight sensation,” Wendy said. “I’m a Texas success story. I’m the epitome of hard work and optimism.”
We’re thrilled to announce that Team Wendy has raised more than $12.2 million from 71,843 individual contributors so far. They said it couldn’t be done, but thanks to your incredible support we outraised our opponent by $700K! Tell Wendy that you’re in it till November.
Tune in to the Today Show tomorrow at 8:00 AM to hear Wendy's interview with Maria Shriver. Wendy has such an inspiring story and we're excited that she has the opportunity to share it with so many people. SHARE THIS if you'll be watching tomorrow!
As a young single mom struggling to make ends meet, Wendy Davis knew she wanted a better life for her family – and education was the key. From community college to valedictorian at TCU, and from Harvard Law to the Fort Worth City Council and eventually the Texas Senate, education gave Wendy the opportunity to succeed. Share your Texas education story.
Thank you so much to our supporters in Tarrant County who opened their hearts and generously gave several car loads of food to Texas families in need this holiday season. Team Wendy was excited to give back by delivering all of these donated items to the Community Food Bank of Fort Worth.
As governor, I will work tirelessly to ensure that a world-class education is within reach of every Texan. Prioritizing public and higher education is the key to creating good-paying jobs and keeping our state's economy on top.
The new Team Wendy Fort Worth office is just a few blocks away from the Dr. Marion J. Brooks Public Health Center, a sprawling brick building where local residents can access a variety of preventative care and community education services. The buildingâs namesake was something of a Fort Worth legend.
The new campaign office is located on the Southside of Fort Worth. Read Royce's story to learn more about why this neighborhood is so important to Team Wendy.
I’m running for governor because I believe all Texans should have a voice and a place in Texas’ future. Filing for office was the official start of that journey – a journey that means so much more than filing paperwork. I know I can count on each of you every step of the way, and together, we will win.
The Dallas Morning News puts it best: "Wendy Davis would have vetoed $5 billion cuts to public schools, not defended them like Greg Abbott."
Today is no ordinary day. It's a Day of Action for our campaign on which we’re hoping to raise $500,000. Will you help us succeed by contributing $5 now?
