A little belated, but the best nonetheless! We just came across this sweet spring concentration class portrait from “Weaving: A Dialogue” with Tommye McClure Scanlin and Bhakti Ziek on Tommye’s blog. You can read more about her time teaching (and see lots more photos) here: http://tapestry13.blogspot.com/2017/04/week-six-is-over.html
Anyone who has spent much time around the Penland clay studios will recognize this little fellow. Let’s face it, he kind of runs the show.
Went by the Penland clay studio today, and found @susanfeagin, with assistance from Maynard the bison, working on tearing down Lucille the crossdraft soda kiln ahead of the upcoming rebuild. Rabulette was nowhere to be found. #maynard #penland #shenanigans
This is our favorite artist/artwork portrait we’ve seen in a long, long time. Well done on all fronts, Sarah!

Craft skills doubling as costume skillz. A small sampling from the party on Saturday, including:
A black hole, a construction site and an egg over easy, a big ol’ ball of yarn, a couple no. 2 pencils, and some friendly-looking bees!
Happy Halloween, y’all!
A little tip for all you glass folks...
