“Valentine’s Day is coming up again, isn’t it?” Yeah, that what the calender says. In a couple of weeks it’ll be Valentine’s Day. He expects nothing extra-ordinary, but will probably end up getting something for Lavi just to show his appreciation.
“Lavi, are you getting chocolate?” He calls up the stairs expecting an answer back, but doesn’t get anything. Lavi was a hard sleeper, but whenever Allen called to him--no matter how deep into a nap he’d been--he’d always answer. Curious, Allen makes his way up the stairs and to the bookman’s room and slowly turns the handle expecting a raspy ‘knock before you enter!’ as it usually went.
The bedroom was empty, sheets messy and books scattered about the room as per usual. Lavi was nowhere to be found. “It’s a little...late to be going anywhere.” Cell phone is grabbed from his pocket just to call and make sure the other was all right--
--only to find that his name no longer existed in his contacts.
Allen stands there for a moment, grip tight on the device before slowly putting it down. He should be used to this by now, it was bound to happen eventually.
