Hey guys. I know everyone is mad about the Lxve On Ice imitator that’s basically a straight-tified, whitewashed version of the story we know and love. This is what you have to do:
DON’T publicise about it. Stage a complete fandom boycott, the kind of thing Tumblr pulled off with Dr Strange i.e. no gifs or textposts or anything related to it circulating AT ALL. Complete silence.
WHY? I get it. You want to scream and rant and rave, how dare they do this to us and to Kubo-sensei? It’s awful. It is. I’m just as angry as all of you. But more noise means more mainstream attention, and the last thing we need is for people to WANT to go and see this thing to find out what the fuss is all about. Judging from the posters and general lack of mainstream attention right now, the production values seem pretty shit and there aren’t any big stars to draw people to it. It can die a quiet, unglorious death as a disastrous flop unknown to everyone, and then afterwards Kubo can sue them for a million bucks if she wants. DON’T accidentally make more people give money to this copycat to find out what’s going on.
