I was talking with elucida yesterday and we got some serious headcanons on Ryuu’s grandma
- Is a huge badass
- Is super accepting of her grandson, letting him pierce his ears and all that stuff
- Has a pink motorbike
- Sometimes she rides it with Ryuu
- Sometimes she yells COWABUNGA while riding it
- Is part of a biker gang (to which Yumoto’s like WOW COOL)
- Bakes some hella awesome cookies
- Is such a positive influence in her grandson’s life, he ended up loving girls because of her
- Wouldn’t mind if Ryuu left the closet and revealed himself as bi
- In fact she ships him with Io pretty hardcore
- Is a huge flirt just like Ryuu
- Adopts Ibushi as her honorary grandson because he doesn’t have his dear grandma anymore

For a brief moment I considered an AU fic where all the shows’ monsters are way more dangerous, and could do a lot more damage to our boys, but then I remembered the screw monster and what making him a serious threat would mean.
So NOPE.
