Hello, i need help. During the 8th of February in the game, when i go fishing it keeps repeating.

My bad! I recently stealth-updated day 1 to add a save point, and it looks like I used the pre-patch version to do it that had this problem.

Apply the patch from this post and you should be good. This will fix a few other issues too, and I'll update the folder asap.

I'm keeping my options open in case Atlus disappoints us again (baleful sidelong glance at P5) but I can't imagine anything I want to do less than redo the markup on a 120,000 word script, argh. Maybe someday if I wake up hating myself with nothing else to do.

I think that's a pretty solid workaround. I'm pretty swamped at the moment but I'll add it to the list of fixes. Thanks!

Games With Friends is doing a Let’s Play of P4 New Days! Check it out if you’re into LPs - they’re after Kanji, so you know their judgement is solid. 

Sorry there hasn’t been more news on the Mac port / v1.2, I'm currently taking care of some commission work. :( Hope to post more soon.

This happens if his status is only "friend" - so either you are not yet actually dating him (Rank 6), or you were dating him and then triggered a second dating route, which causes his dating status to revert to friend.Note that Yosuke's dating flag is invisible, so if you didn't actively choose to cheat this is a likely culprit.

Nice catch! I had planned on including a mechanic that allowed you to send texts to the guys, probably at night, but it got the chopping block when I needed to save time. Rather than taking out the flag from the script and save/load functions I just left it unused.

This has come up before, but when the person sent me their save file I didn’t see anything unusual about it, and it worked for me when I played from their save. (And eventually worked for them too without either of us doing anything, I think.) It was also with Kanji in that case. I’ll look into this for 1.2.

In the meantime, please feel free to send me your save file so I can take a look at it (strangestquiet at gmail), or if you feel comfortable editing it yourself, you can change the tree and saved node parameters to skip to 3/19.

Hey! Totally understandable, sorry for the delay on this! The Mac port is coming pretty slowly since I really don’t know what the heck I’m doing in that regard, I have zero Mac knowledge. But hopefully I’ll have more to report soon.

Hey! You need to be dating someone in order to get their White Day event, so it definitely is possible for that event to be taken away if you cheat on them.

Yosuke has an earlier dating flag in Rank 7->8, so it should be possible to “date” and then get someone else’s dating flag. IIRC the second person you date will take precedence and the first will be set to cheating status (oh god, I think? I don’t have any documentation in front of me, but if you lost your White Day privileges then that sounds right). But then later on in Rank 8->9 Kanji would catch on that you cheated with him. So it's the second person who calls you out - something I think I'd like to change in a subsequent release someday.

Thanks for indulging me! I’d always expected Alone to be the predominant ending and even made it default if it was tied with anything else. But I realized after I saw the results starting to come in that Rejected was linked to a lot of the “good” answers you’d normally input if you were trying to do well in a game like this. (Which is, I think, very appropriate for what this ending gets at...!)

Anyway, I’m still tinkering with the tools to get the Mac version going -- more news soon.

I’m just about done with my other post-con business (namely: take a damn break and host some out-of-town friends), so just dropping in to note that I’ll be back with news about the Mac version and some other possible minor fixes later this week. Thanks for being patient!

In the meantime, I just spent a lot of words jabbering about various game-related things over here if you’re into that. Feels good to finally be able to talk about it!
