One scene in the film sees Emma suffer a sudden nosebleed in an emotional moment, and Taylor-Joy somehow managed to start bleeding from her nostril right on cue.

The original plan had been to cut the scene and add the fake blood under Taylor-Joyā€™s nose, but as she toldĀ The Guardian there was no intervention necessary.

ā€œI didnā€™t know I had that talent until that scene,ā€ said Taylor-Joy. ā€œAs soon as my nose started bleeding, [director] Autumn de Wilde and Johnny [Flynn, who played Mr Knightley] both got as excited as me. The crew were going, ā€˜Cut, cut!ā€™ because they were concerned about me but us three were like: ā€˜What are you talking about? Keep rolling! This is unbelievable! We have to capture it on film.ā€™ā€

Hawke: "Itā€™s probably my single favorite take of anything Iā€™ve been involved with." Delpy: "That was really special. It was like magic ā€” each time I felt Ethan looking away, I would look at him and vice versa. I almost fell in love with him right there, but then Rick said cut."
