I would probably run out of break-ups to write about if I stopped having break-ups because my music is very autobiographical. But, on 1989, one theme that you will see that has kind of faded is the idea of the guy, the boy, has faded into the background. It is not as much about writing about a boy or a guy or losing a guy. It is more reflective on relationships and the lessons I’ve learned and taken away from those relationships.
