Ah, I'm currently studying visual art at RMIT and I'm applying for animation next year and I was curious to know whether I should fully illustrate my storyboards or keep them limited to 2 greys and one colour? I'm rushing all my work because I really want to get into animation but I'm so nervous I won't be good enough to get in
Hey anon! it depends on what you want to show off really, if you’re great with colours and visuals, go for it. But if you’re more confident in story, then grey tones should be fine. If you’re low on time, just do the best you can!! I remember when i applied I also rushed mine, but I was much more reliant on my portfolio and interview to be honest. Good luck!!
hi! would you mind if i used your art on my blog's theme?
Hi anon, i don’t mind! It’d be nice to be credited though
i just found this blog i am in love with your art thank you
Woah thank you so much!
What did you use to make that amazing DA credit scene? Anything tips for animating?
We used...Adobe Photoshop to make all character and background assetsAdobe After Effects to composite on a 3D plane with an animated fly through cameraAnd Adobe Media Encoder to render! AE tips: learn to use the graph editor if you want smooth movements, especially because the 3D camera is SO hard to control it was driving me batty. Hope this helps!
u draw things so good (i lov ur dragon age project so bad...)
Aaaaa thank you so much!!
WE FINALLY FINISHED.... A project with @belkovich for RMIT AIM studio 4 where we made a motion graphics end credits sequence for a fictional Dragon Age Origins movie adaption.
Music ‘Whatever We Were Before’ by World Beyond feat. Nicholas Standing
*Note: We couldn’t fit in every party member so we unfortunately had to cut out a few including Shale, Oghren, dog....
Sorry for my absence, I’ve been working my butt off on this project for uni with @belkovich. This is our teaser poster and we’re making a fictional movie end credits sequence based on Dragon Age Origins. We’re in the middle of compositing right now and super excited to share it when it’s done!
Haven’t been posting much so here’s a dumb sketch i did during warmups. My Inquisitor Levallan being cute with noodle man.
