if you want a playlist for banging folks this probably isn’t the one for you, but if you want to Go Off, Historically then WHAT’S UP

- Rogues in a Nation by Steeleye Span (1791)
- Black Sails Main Title by Bear McCreary
- You Will Burn by Steeleye Span (actually written in the 1990s, but you wouldn’t think it)
- Ampleforth/Lay Me Low by The Albion Band (this was written in the ‘70s, but The Albion Band, and this album in particular, is made up of a bunch of old Fairport Convention members with vocals from people like Martin Carthy and Maddy Prior of Steeleye Span, and you really don’t get more Traditional English Folk than that)

THIS IS AMAZING THANK YOU I LOVE SHANTIES! NEED MORE BC I GOT MORE! Ok so “10,000 Miles Away ” covered by The Seadogs was mentioned but The Seadogs have done 4 albums of shanties (mostly sea shanties, like 2 river shanties) they even cover the Muppet’s song and do a GREAT job!
