I’ve been here for fourteen years, do you think I remember? I don’t know who any of these people are anymore. I don’t know why they’re on my dash. I allow them to stay because they haven’t pissed me off enough to unfollow them yet. “Why did you follow this person?” I’m not sure I ever did. They’re just part of my ecosystem now.
Today is the day that I cursed Earth with my despicable presence!

...For real though, I need to thank everybody who helped me last year, all the donations and commissions really helped with getting my family to a point where we could say we're okay now, I can't even properly express to you all how much that meant to me.

I was playing with binary pens again, and I was in a Slayers mood, so I put Basil in a Lina Inverse cosplay.
Of course, this set some expectations from her friends, both of them being familiar with the anime Slayers.
(I took so long to open commissions again, I turned undead, haha yes that's the joke)

Taking myself on a silly little walk for my silly little mental health
Last week I was thinking "What if Renato was in Pizza Tower" and sketched THE ANGRIEST BEAN.
I think he is angry because it was his boss who sent him to fight the rival restaurant on the other side of the street (secretely a front for little green men who want to stablish their own fast food chain on the planet) and he will not be paid extra for this.
People don't like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn't be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they're basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.
Like it's just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like "we're using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can" and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.
Actually, I realized my real point here: we all need to make our art weirder. Please make weird art. I want more stuff like Prequel Adventure and 17776 and MyHouse.wad and I want it now. Capitalism thrives on conformity. We must be weird at all costs.

(and yes, I'm the "moa" cited here, I really did use Homestuck in my thesis, got a perfect approval and everything, but I'm pretty sure that has more to do with the fact that the medium for my thesis was a comic, I did a comic essay a la scott mccloud for my bachelors' thesis)
