i made some natural stone paths!
i wanted something that wasn’t too repetitive, so i made 10 different designs: 6 bigger stones, some with moss or cracks, and 4 smaller ones which i use to make the shape of the path flow :)
they’d look great on any woodland themed islands or anywhere for a more natural look 🌿
if you want, tag me if you use them - id love to see what people use them for :)

Custom Paths Overlay
I don’t know if this is obvious to everyone but me but I just found out this cool “hack” for round custom paths. In Animal Crossing New Horizons when you finally unlock your terraforming app (also known as island designer app) there are 10 different paths you can create including custom paths.
All paths except for the custom paths have a very natural look to them around the edges + they can’t be destroyed just by pressing y + they can be rounded around the corners unlike custom paths that can look unnatural and blocky.
BUT!! There is a way to fix this problem to get the best of both worlds~
it is important to note that your custom path must have at least 1 transparent pixel to make this hack work; making all animal crossing new leaf qr code paths unusable for this hack.
The transparent paint tool is always the far right paint option for any of the color palettes. For this design I made the middle pixel of my star transparent and you can hardly tell.
So now that’s out of the way, the hack is really easy.
- Lay down any of the 9 pre-made paths however you want. I chose the brick path since my custom design is brick and I wanted the sound effects to be the same. Make sure that you have it exactly how you want (with rounded corners and all) before doing step 2.
- Switch to your custom design and put it on top of the pre-made path. It will act like a overlay and conform to the shape of the path beneath it.
- You’re done! Step back and enjoy your finish product.
Disclaimer: Unfortunately these custom designs will still be easily destroyed if you press y while near them but the pre-made path underneath it will be left untouched.
This is SO cool!!!
I hope everyone is doing well in these weird times, here's some Animal Crossing New Horizon fan art I did last night. Hope you like it!
twines first camper.
A post going around on twitter suggesting using fencing at your airport to make a safe trading area inspired me to make this sign. Use it for your pick up & drop off areas!
so you want senpai kk slider to notice you and come perform on your island. great! let’s make it happen! the good news is that you only need 3 stars out of a possible 5 to tempt him into visiting. the even gooder news is that achieving a 3-star rating is much easier than it feels like it’ll be at first! this guide will (hopefully) help you get there in no time.
step one: clean up!
i know what you’re thinking. “oh no… does that mean plucking my beautiful aesthetic weeds?!” unfortunately, yes, but fret not! i pulled a few hundred weeds, but there were certainly a few hundred left over when i stopped too. what seems to matter more is simply keeping your island tidy.
have you left anything laying around to pick up later? if so, now is later!! items, tools and furniture dropped in their not-a-real-object forms count against your town rating. put that stuff away or place it as actual objects. and definitely get rid of any trash!
step 2: beautify
flowers and trees! trees and flowers! plant lots of pretty things in your town to raise your rating. this step is easy.
if you don’t have many flowers on your island yet and don’t want to wait for them to breed, go on a few mystery tours with a mostly empty inventory and grab everything you can. my island has almost as many flowers as it does weeds!
step 3: decorate
this is the step that halted my progress. just how decorated is “decorated?” all told, i had about 150 or so pieces of furniture and fencing dotted around my town when i hit 3 stars. try to spread things out and limit duplicate items as much as possible.
how they’re arranged doesn’t matter. things don’t need to be pretty or make sense, they just need to be there!
uh that’s it
hopefully this gives you a better idea of what you need to do! isabelle’s advice can be a bit vague at times, so i thought some ballpark numbers might help a few people out. good luck!!
you also need to move villagers in! build the plots tom nook offers
