Sarah the Witch

@sarah-the-witch / sarah-the-witch.tumblr.com

Hello, my name is Sarah and in case you haven't noticed by now, I'm a witch. I tend to move around a lot, its just my nature.I'm about nineteen, 5"4', my eyes change from brown to purple depending on how much energy I have, and I have golden brown hair. My birthday is April 16. I'm an aries. I always have a locket on that has a picture of my late family on it. Whenever I think about them, I find myself playing with it. My teacher, Ackley, is the closest thing I have to family anymore. If anyone insults him or my family, I get very upset and the walls tend to shake. Don't let me scare you though, I'm quite nice and I'd love to talk to you.

A Crossroads

A sign escaped her mouth after he left. She put the pastries in what looked like a cookie jar and cleaned the kitchen until it sparkled. The sun was starting to come up over the horizon now. Sarah looked around the apartment and found a cozy looking spot toward the top of the apartment. It was near a window and on top of a pillar. She climbed it effortlessly and sat cross-legged at the top. She closed her eyes and began to meditate.

“Why thank you,” she smiled, eating some herself, “I wanted to do something as a thank you for all you’ve done for me.”

“I haven’t done anything! Only the right thing, I suppose,” he said with a cute smile, eating more of the pastry. “I couldn’t let you just die out there.”

"It's a lot more than most would do," she said calmly. Sarah quietly ate her breakfast, not sure what else to say. Why was he being so abrasive in her thank yous. He did her a kindness and she was trying to repay him. It seemed odd to her that he was being almost rude about it.

“Then I’ll pay starting the first of the month,” she said in a tone that gave no room for debate. A timer dinged and she pulled her creation out of the oven. “Just a little tart. I don’t really have a real name for them. But they’re really yummy,” she said and got a spatula and put one on a plate. “They go good with milk. Can I get you a glass?”

Bolin nodded, offering a smile as he listened to her words. “I would love a glass, thanks,” he said sweetly, chuckling. She was like a sweet little chef of his very own.,

The fridge was a little foreign to her, but she quickly decifired the opening mechanism. She wasn't use to having to click open the handle. Without missing a beat, she found the milk and poured 2 glasses before putting it back. She gave one to Bolin before getting a pastrie for herself and sitting across from him.

“I *want* to,” Sarah said, showing her stubborn side. She turned back to the dough and finished rolling it out. She cut it into rectangles and took some jam and put it in the middle of half the sheet. “So what are you doing today?” she asked, trying to make conversation and she folded the dough over and pressed the edges with a fork.

He blushed when she was stubborn, and he rubbed the back of his neck. He watched her do each step, then he looked at her when she spoke. “I don’t really know yet. I was thinking of having my best friend come over, but she might be busy.”

Sarah brushed each top with icing and put them in the oven. She patted some flour off her hands and turned back to him. “If I get in your way, please tell me. I think another day or two of rest and I’ll be able to leave,” she said, and straightened her apron out of nervousness.

Bolin frowned. “There’s no rush, Sarah. You aren’t in my way, and couldn’t be even if you tried.” He smiled softly. “You’re a nice woman, Sarah. You really don’t have to leave so soon.”

Blood rushed to her cheeks and turned them bright red. This all but stranger thought so fondly of her. He was so kind and so giving. She looked into his eyes and smiled, "You're a kind person. And I greatly appreciate your hospitality, but I don't want to ware out my welcome."

Sometime after three in the morning, Sarah woke up. She felt some of her power has returned to her. She found the bethroom and took a shower. Then she got her clothes from her bag, and got dressed. At about 4:30, she made her way to Bolin’s kitchen and started making breakfast. She decided on jam filled pastries with icing on top.

Bolin came into the kitchen sleepily, putting a shirt on as he walked in. “It’s 4:30. What are you doing up?”

Sarah jumped a little. She made a mental note to improve her hearing next time she meditated. "I... I couldn't sleep anymore so I wanted to make you breakfast. As a thank you for your hospitality. Did I wake you?" her voice sounded like music to him.
