As soon as his hands are free, he rubs them and ends up sitting up on the lab table with a smirk stretched across his face. Ward knows that Fitz’s just getting more and more annoyed with him but he wanted to know just how much it took him to crack; it wasn’t if there was anything dire that needed his immediate attention.
❝You’re bein' pedantic now.❞ It wouldn't take long, in truth. Fitz was stubborn, and Scottish. If there was one thing he knew, it was how to get annoyed with someone. But he was also wholly capable of getting rid of annoying people, or just doing enough to make them avoid him for a bit.

“Huge———? Really? And I didn’t say your hands were tiny but now that you point it out, they are on the small size. You know if you injure me, you could get suspended." He’s bluffing, though he suspects there’s some sort of reprimand for hurting a fellow agent even if he might have deserved it. Just for show, Ward adds in a little wince and flexes his hands under Fitz’s, if he pulled them out now, the engineer would smack his face on the poor lab table—- Though he’s almost tempted to do that anyway.
❝You've already wounded my feelings. Y'can call it gettin' my own back.❞ WIth a huff of irritation he lets himself slip back onto the ground, feet meeting the floor once more before he turns away from Ward. He moves back to his work. Unlike Ward, he actually has things he can be doing other than annoying people.
