i’ve met a lot of people in university who have wealthy parents and who are really into class activism and i have such mixed feelings about that, like it’s nice that they care i guess them caring is better than them not giving a shit, but a lot of it feels performative and i hate when they talk to me about poor people as if i’m not poor, because they assume that i also have rich parents. also i get a feeling that a lot of them are only into it because it’s the first time they have to be on their own and think about money in their lives
