New Art Periodical!

This is the first issue of my independently produced, distributed, and published art periodical Opus Special. Through my press, Opus, I will be producing an issue on a quarterly basis (look out for Opus Special II in October!) and will invited various artists, makers, and scholars to contribute. Each issue will feature articles and art reproductions, as well as interviews and musings about contemporary and not-so-contemporary art and artists. Additionally I will commission an artist every month to fill the centerfold “Free Space” with whatever they want, as well as invite an artist to contribute an art object/takeaway for each issue.

 This issue features photographs by Alex “Bobby Alexander” Peterson, Wesley Larios, and myself. There is an interview with Glasgow-based artist Lauren Davis, illustrations from Amanda MacKenzie-Noice and Henry Erlenbaugh, who contributed this issue’s Free Space, both are Portland artists. The object for this issue is a commemorative screen-print poster, of either the statue on the cover or Edinburgh Castle, both photographs by myself.
